An Autumn Card to Challenge The Weather?

Todays card is an Autumn themed card which I think is quite cute!

I used an image, and backing papers given free within
that I subscribe, which is issued every month.
I have subscribed to this magazine for some years now and surely,
I should be given a long service medal!!!! 😄😄

Anyway, I used one of a collection of some gorgeous printed papers
with the lovely, cute, and colourful image of the girl with the umbrella.
I die cut that into a rectangle, matted that to a mini scalloped die cut
which is slightly larger. I then die cut an even bigger rectangle in a gorgeous mini leaves in multiple autumnal colours, having die cut a smalled mini scalloped rectangle at the same time for the sentiment to go on,
I decided to add the ribbon (well cord actually but very smooth), across
the dark caramel coloured backing card. The finishing touches are
the words "Thank You" and the 3 Stickles Glitter Glue in a metallic orange.

The colours on the card match almost fully, to the stated colours on
the "Color Throwdown Challenge Blog" for this week....

Not Just Cards Challenge Blog time today.......

Hiya peeps

Yes its time for a new challenge over at

As always, our challenges are Just For Fun with a
blog badge for the winner and the top three positions.
The theme is always Anything Goes too!!!

This month I made a card for a Facebook Friend's 50th Birthday,
I decided to use the Rose Gold Moments Collection by Hunkydory as I had
the set just sitting on a shelf not being used for almost, if not all of a year or more! Lol, Ive got to stop my spending for a long time...

The base card itself, was made up of 2 x A4 sheets of Linen effect
250gsm white cardstock from Papermill Direct. I then chose the cover
piece of card, cutting it down to the right size and then mounting it etc.
The only details I needed to add were the downstrip card ribbon the to sentiments and the arched image that matches the backing card perfectly.
The card ribbon is as flush as can be to the backing card then I used foam pads to add the image & two small sentiments. The circle "Bid 50" is an after thought of mine using a pinky beige coloured paper to cut it out. The last item to add was the insert.....
Overall the card measures out as almost 9 inch x 8 1/2 inch.

Mushroom mice....

Hiya peeps

Todays card is an easel scalloped circle card using a
lovely cute digi image from Di's Digi Designs

It came with no particular name so I called it
Mushroom Houses Mice. I think it was a special
freebie for a colouring event by Kit & Clowder.

I die cut the scalloped circles and nested circles
using dies by Spellbinders. The sentiment die is from
Tonic Studios. I hand coloured the cute image using
assorted colouring pencils. The ribbon was from my own stash.
I used a split pin to add the sentiment circle to the main card
front so it could be turned inwards so it didnt make the card
an arkward shape for posting. As it is an easel card it makes it
able to lie as flat as possible for posting. You can see how they
open by looking at the photos below.

Not Just Cards Challenge time....

Hiya peeps

Its time for a new challenge at

Not Just Cards Blog

As always our challenges are Anything Goes
and is just for fun (apart from our lovely blog badge!!!)

My card for this month is a cute freebie from
Gerda Steiner
It is called Cupcake Bear
This link will take you to the Digi Stamp Challenge Blog where you can
sign up for the newsletter also.

I created a standard A5 landscape card with a special
sentiment of: Make A Wish With Love

Ive cut out a few circles with various diameters and stuck on little
card dots in a variety of different colours but still sticking
to a colour pallet of Razzle Berry, Purple Rain, Cement Gray and Sweet Tooth.
This combination also includes 2 of my favourite colours that I love to combine, being, Any shade of pink with any shade of Purple.
I tried to match the colours as much as possible from my stash that I already own (Ive got that much that I dont really want to buy anymore yet).
I chose the design using circles as that is on trend at the moment but also
is the theme for quite a few blog challenges that I was thinking of entering.
I hope you like the card...

On another note, I had a lovely surprise visit today from my
eldest daughter Steph and my handsome grandsons,
Jamie (19) and Ben (15). My son-in-law, Martin, picked them up after work.
My 2 grandsons are so good to me and dont mind doing some work, with
Ben taking Reggie a walk/jog around the leisure center grounds twice!!

An apology and a new card to show you....

Hiya peeps

An apology to you all

I am so sorry, to say that, I made a big mistake with my last post.
The card I spoke & showed you pictures of to do with my DT
card for Not Just Cards Challenge Blog was the wrong one.

I only realised the mistake late last night and that the card I
should be promoting is:

A commission card that I made for a woman who my daughter goes to
visit. It was a birthday card for one of her daughters who loves to sail
and her favourite colour is blue.  The mum knows what questions I will ask
so I   can make the card more personalised for the recipient as this is not the first order that she has asked me to make., and it wont be the last.

I made a large square piece of embossing ages ago using a folder showing
loads of 'Happy Birthdays' across it and as I love that same colour of blue I enjoyed working with it. I decided to make the card as a landscape view as I think it gives me more room to place the items that need to use.

The embossing folder is from Crafters Companion, the sentiment was
cut using a Tonic Studios die (I have many of their cutting dies). The
card is a ready made folded card and the white glitter card are from the Hobbycraft website. The boat was cut using a die from Marianne Designs
(available from lots of craft websites). The cotton lace is from a company called
craftyribbons.com, where as the rest of the items are from my own stock.

Its DT time again.....

Hiya peeps

Its the start of our new challenge over at

As always, all of our challenges are Anything Goes
so we would like you to join us, we love to see all..

We will endeavour to visit all of your projects and
leave a comment but please bear with us., after all we are are only human.

My project this week is a new baby card.
A friends newest son (of 3 now), named
Carter Ryan! Hes a little cutie pie of a thing
and deserved the Klik Klack Zak lobster that I bought
him (on sale at Amazon.co.uk).

I first coloured an image from Di's Digi's  called
Ted's Train which, unfortunately, is no longer available.
I printed it out onto linen effect white cardstock
(as thats all I had in at the time) and coloured it with
Castle Art pencil crayons. The linen effect gives the fur
effect. I then added Liquid Glass to various parts which,
as many of you already know, I love! It gives such a smooth
clear gloss finish just like glass and is as hard as resin when dry.
Its perfect for the eyes, beaks (of birds), rain drops etc.
I used it on the rim of the hat Ted is wearing, his eyes and some
parts of the train, especially the wheels.
I made the card size by using 2 x A4 pieces of white
linen effect cardstock, cut, folded and stuck together to
give me the large 9.5 in x 8.5 in card I wanted. I stuck the
2 pieces of backing papers that I wanted to use on the back, added the 3 ribbons/lace I wanted to use (overlapping when necessary).
After die cutting the sentiment "Welcome to the World"
I mounted the coloured digi on to an oval cut in yellow and stuck
that on to the bottom part of the card. The end touch was using
Liquid Pearls in White Opal to form the 3 "pearls" near the edge
of the card & then a smaller pearl to act as the start button
on the train hand controller. The insert was fun to find the
elements that I wanted to use. I found what I was looking for
on an old external hard drive ive got, I combined two images to form the right picture that I needed, along with the perfect verse that I printed out in. Both of the inserts were printed onto high quality
pearlescent paper that gives such a lovely finish to the whole card.

I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:
