A Christmas Fairy Twinkles

Hiya peeps

Yes a Christmas Card for today, one that I made for both a Facebook Challenge and a Challenge Blog.

I have used Fairy Twinkles from Make It Crafty who is also available as part of a set.
Shes a gorgeous digi to colour and I used a variety of pens to colour her all in different shades of blues.
The backing paper I chose to back it with is a 12x12 inch paper by Craft Creations Ltd and is called Frosty Winter Blue (SR319P). Mounted onto a plain blue card from Papermill Direct, I felt as though I didnt need to add anything else apart from the sentiment. To add the sentiment on to the same box as the digi, would have been wrong., so I made another box to match the first one then added a "Merry Christmas". To finish I added a piece of the same background to the inside for the verse and hand written note to be placed,

Flower Power for Inspiration

Good Morning peeps

An inspirational blog for you today on behalf of Crafty Ribbons.

Many of you might not remember the Flower Power era of the 1960s I was born then and being the younger of 4 kids I was brought up listening to the fabulous music and lovely clothes (only on my eldest 2 sisters though!) lol

The card is made using baby pink cardstock from Papermill Direct and topped with backing (very flowery) papers from my own stash (but being used for a 1960s card I wouldnt have it any other way). The charms and the metallic card used for the alphabet die cuts are also from my stash.
The purple cardstock used for the image topper is also from Papermill Direct and the image itself is called Festival Lily from All Dressed Up Stamps. (The link will take you to the Etsy shop).
The Yellow Ric Rac ribbon is available from Crafty Ribbons and the Hot Pink Sentiment ribbon is perfect to enhance any card for almost any occasion, again from Crafty Ribbons.

I hope you like this card, you can find the Crafty Ribbons Inspirational Blog Post by clicking HERE

Super Stamper awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hiya peeps, well it has been a mixed day of mild heat plus the odd light shower of rain so Ive stayed in all day sitting at my table making the following card plus die cutting some shapes.

Enough of that, back to the card Ive been making today. I did start colouring another image but had to give up on that today as I kept falling asleep with a marker in my hand and then finding the work absolutely ruined as my pen has been colouring where it shouldn't have!!! After two attempts I gave up on that and moved on to the wonderful digi called Avenger, Super Stamper  from the delightful Tiddly Inks. Avenger Super Stamper is available for free too (there are other digi's available for free also!!)
I have teamed up the Avenger Super Stamper with a purple theme on a card base size of approx 8x8 inch. The wired lilac ribbon is available from Crafty Ribbons and the pearls are available from loads of websites plus Ebay.  I have coloured Avenger using a mixture of Graph It, Sakura Gelly Roll and Promarker pens, The "Stamps Away" is of my own thoughts.

Crafting Musketeers Shades of Summer challenge #26

Hiya peeps

A reminder for the challenge over at Crafting Musketeers Challenge Blog where you could win a voucher to use on the website.

Dont forget that you can get more details from the main post on the challenge blog itself:

And if you don't have your own blog , don't worry ,  remember we have a Facebook Page for

you to post your entry onto our Facebook page for Crafting Musketeers Challenge Blog

Please dont forget, also, to read the challenge rules whilst you are on the main challenge

My reminder card is made from a kit by Hunkydory Hobbies & Pastimes, Country Fete & Caravan Club Designer Decoupage with the Faux Pearls from The Hobby House

I used one of the main pieces of cardstock to make the base card and scored it at the A5 fold on my scoreboard.

After folding I added another piece of cardstock from Pinflair in the form of the pink gingham.  Before I glued that in place on top of the now white card I added the blue picot ribbon, the faux flat backed pearls which are available from our sponsors The Hobby House
the blue bakers twine was threaded around & around and then securing with sellotape. The decoupage picture is from the same kit with the buttons and picot ribbon both coming from Crafty Ribbons. This piece of cardstock, complete with embellishments was then stuck
down on the white base card to give a contrasting base for the decoupage topper.

The challenge lasts until the end of the month, exact details you can find, along with the inlinkz button to add your make, by clicking on the link at the top of this post.

I hope you like the card!

An Alligator Hug for a Daddy...............

Fathers Day, are you ready with your required cards??? Here in the UK, this year, Fathers Day is on June 21st, and the DT card I have made for this challenge over at 2 Cute Ink Challenge #131
is below.  As a member of the wonderful Design Team for this challenge blog, we were given the unusual digi called Alligator Hugs and I think we have all made a wonderful job!!!
I made a thoroughly masculine card using browns, oranges and a hint of pale green. All card stock is from Papermill Direct with the backing papers and the 2 large patterned buttons from my own stash.  The orange gingham check was from a seller on Facebook but I cant remember which one with the plain gorgeous silky ribbon is from Jam Pot Ribbons in Tawny Orange from Crafty Ribbons along with the plain smaller sized button.
On the inside of the card I made a normal (for me) high grade pearlescent paper insert and topped it with a piece of the orange card from Papermill Direct (as above) and using one of a new
set of dies Die'sire Classiques Only Words Collection - With Love Die from Crafters Companion

Whether you like my card or not, please take a look at our challenge and get making to win a wonderful cute digis from 2 Cute Ink, get an extra digi if you use a 2 Cute Ink image on your make.

Halloween?? Not yet as Summer is fine!!!

Hiya peeps

I would like to share with you a tag that I have "decorated" with a theme around the sentiment "Summer is fine BUT I'm ready for Halloween".
I decided straight off for a two sided tag, with one for summer and one for Halloween. Heres my result using the fabulous digis from Rick St Dennis who sponsored a contest on his Facebook fan page. I used the images Summer Wind and Pumpkin Jack who are both available, along with over 1000 other digital images on  Rick's Zibbet mega shop.  Sadly I didnt win the first prize (of a custom stamp) but it did encourage me to step out of the box.
