Stamping For The Weekend Challenge Blog........

Stamping For The Weekend Challenge Blog:

My DT post for this challenge is here....

I used a long time owned Kenny K Digi Stamp and coloured her in the usual colours (apart from the green fishnet holdups/stockings) which is when I used my Graph It pens with a small mixture of Promarkers as I don't yet own enough Graph It's.

An easel card is one of the easiest multi fold cards to make but to add dimension I made it into a twisted easel..... with a die cut mulberry paper tree on the smaller fold.
A sparkly red glitter effect ribbon Chocolate Box bow to act as stoppers for the stand up pics
a sentiment and a few silver coloured punch cut snowflakes for the finishing touches. The backing paper behind Mrs Claus is a free paper that came with others in a "Making Cards" magazine for November. The small tree and robin stamps are from my own stash/unknown free gifts from craft magazines. The large shaped piece of card that Mrs Claus scene is sitting on is a piece of Taupe coloured card die cut with my labels one die from Spellbinders.
Any questions please just ask

This card has also been posted before on 24th November as my application to join another Design Team. (

A DT call is on at........

Well, yes, a fabulous DT call is on now at........ wait for it......

Kenny K's Krafty Krew!!!

A wonderful opportunity for a most exciting chance to design for one of the best creators of digital images for a long time (and to receive every new image that is created by Kenny for the period of the 6 months term with a possibility of extension if mutually agreeable)!!!! ;) I couldn't be happier, I just hope that I get accepted as I have a deep admiration for Kenny K & Elena as they are so creative and very talented, as are the Kenny K Krafty Krew Design Teams (past & present)...
How do I apply??? It is so easy.....................
  1. Create a post on your crafting platform announcing this DT call;
  2. Present one or a few of your best KennyK creations and link back to here using Mr. Linky below;
  3. OR share your Facebook post (including your card and our facebook address) on our Facebook page (one OR the other please, not both).
Hence this post here on my blog. I have placed some photos below to show you just some of my photos of cards that I have made using images from Kenny K.  I am lucky to have a few rubber stamps & a good range of digi's but I still have loads more on my wish list lol (well they are all so good!!!) ;0
The first card (4 photos) are of an easel DT card that I have made for a future challenge blog that doesnt go live until the beginning of December but you can see for yourselves how beautiful this image is. I used Mrs Claus on a piece of backing paper that came free with  one of my many craft magazines, adding 3 other images that I also coloured with my Graph It & Promarker pens (as I dont have enough Graph It pens in my collection yet) to create a small Christmas scene. I decided late on to use this image on an easel card, which I sometimes do when creating projects...If I dont like something I will change all or part of it as I am a 100% or more perfectionis!!
Imagine this fabulous Mrs Claus in alternative Christmas colours (as in pastel purple & silver, or pinks/pastel blues with a matt gold).... mmmm will have to have a go with those colours, keep those eyes open in the next week. I will post the results here on my blog.
I love colouring in the images of Kenny K, wether they are rubber or digi's & I would endevour to be the best DT member that the Krafty Krew have ever known!!!
I am entering the first card (Mrs Claus) in the following challenges, as well as applying for one of the Design Team's vacancies:

A Retail Therapy's Dream Card.........

Good Morning peeps,

Yes, I was busy yesterday and the day before.... I spent 6 hours of my Sunday creating a card that I thought was for Friday but the customer's mother was going to be 60 the following day!!!! Oooppss.... I did manage to create a beautiful card though and that is shown in the previous post on here.
Yesterday I was busy finishing off a card for a regular customer, Stacey, who, this time wanted a large shoppers dream card for her boyfriends mum. The woman concerned loved to shop for herself mainly, with sometimes shopping for other people and Stacey had taken shine to a previous card similar like the one below so I made a few different things about this one.

Basically I had to change all of it, but as in changing the style of dresses, a banner instead of a layered circle with flower top, the types of card used for the decorative layered die cuts for the charm shoe, the perfume bottle is a die cut one (from Tattered Lace Dies), a different style of lipsticks, shopping bags. I have placed the original card(on the right-21st birthday) next to the new one so you can see for yourself
They are quite different but still the same style which my customer, Stacey, wanted. The change of pearls on the shoe are my idea as I didn't have enough of the large white flat backed pearls that I used on the original.
Luckily Stacey loves the new version just as much as the original (but she has only seen photo). As for me? I like the new version as its not so cluttered, but this style of card is not one of my favourites.
I hope you might like it though??
Until another day, I will say bye and leave you with the photos...... (remember that the original 21st Birthday card is on the right)

A Mother's 60th......

Today's special make - A 60th Birthday Card for a customer's mum.

A "simple" bouquet of roses in pinks, red's & wine/burgundy colours tied with red satin ribbon and a red organza triple looped bow..

These were stuck on to a fancy edged piece of ivory & pastel burgundy organza over the top of a piece of pink card cut in to a scalloped & flowered edge circle (cut with my Martha Stewart circle cutter) (Boy do I love that little machine!!!)

A large 10x10 inch boxed card is the finished result.... I love it and I hope you do too
Please leave a comment if you do, I would appreciate it!!!

Stamping For The Weekend Challenge Autumn/Fall colours

Hiya peeps from a cold Staffordshire town.... Ive just had my monthly online shopping order delivered and I am so cold that the heating has had to go back almost 20c.
Bugaboo stamps
Well, the challenge theme this time is Autumn/Fall colours sponsored, very kindly by Bugaboo Digital Stamps and Scrappiness
I have chosen to use a Bugaboo stamp that I already own called WOB Caterpillar and I coloured him with my Graph It markers and then cut it out closely to the outline.
I die cut loads of leaves, different shaped ones on different papers.  On the orange base card, I cut & mounted 2 pieces of dark green & brown patterned papers that I got free with a magazine from the NEC Hobbycrafts exhibition last Thursday. I mounted a piece of wide brown lace around the pieces of mounting papers, topped that with a piece of strong open weave net/burlap and then glued the different coloured paper leaves & a few wired plastic leaves on to the burlap. The caterpillar was then stuck on top using Pinflair glue gel.
I didnt bother with a sentiment as there is no need to add anything to this........ the inside can be used as a notelet or just a simple thank you card....
