DT card for Crafty Ribbons Challenge Blog

Hiya peeps

Todays 3rd make is my DT card for Crafty Ribbons challenge blog
where this weeks theme, by the Bows Team, is to use
both Ribbons and Lace!!!

I chose to use ribbons, lace and buttons, all of which are from

I made a large 8x8 inch base card, topped with a lovely green toned backing
paper that I found, added the dotty embossed card, that I had
already embossed. I then added the ribbons, 40mm Lemon Grosgrain,
Basics 2 Go Buttons are colour themed assorted buttons,
mixed sizes types and texture buttons, No frills they are just
loose buttons sold by weight and put into a grip seal bag.

I decided to use up an image that I have had coloured for a while now,
and shes called "Wasn't Me" A Mischievous Teenage Girl by Kenny K Stamps
topped on to a basic red card stock, corner rounded cut & stuck to an embossed
piece of scrap white card and die cut, corner rounded cut to match.
The "Thank You" die cut was just glued into a place that
I thought suited the layout.

Thats about it! I hope you like the card as much as I do, a bright & colourful
Thank you card for that special birthday present perhaps?? ;)

DT post for Crafting Musketeers challenge blog

Hiya peeps

Today I have the card make for Crafting Musketeers Challenge #37
of which we, as a Design Team, were given a choice of digis to use and
I chose the wonderful Pirate from Sunsational Stamps as I think
little boys love to play with water and boats in the summer but
also love to play with swords dressed as pirates at home or
at birthday parties.

Coloured with alcoholic marker pens, adding a pair of googly eyes
(just to add some extra fun for a 4 year old)
The map is downloaded from Google, using restrictions for copyright usage.
Ric Rac ribbon is from my own stash as is the small sentiment, the number 4
the fun childrens pirates background papers and the googly eyes

I hope you like the card

DT card for Not Just Cards new blog challenge

Hiya peeps

Today's make is a card for Not Just Cards new challenge
where the theme is always Anything Goes

We have been very kindly sponsored by

We, as a Design Team (DT), were given a choice of a few images
but I chose to use the fabulous Mushroom Flower Sprite
and loved colouring her in even though at times I felt overwhelmed
but that could have been jealousy as the digi image is so gorgeous.

I did follow a sketch as drawn for a blog challenge.
I coloured her with alcoholic marker pens, used my Tonic Studios Rectangle
dies and cut the backing papers/card to the shapes & sizes that I wanted.

I hope you like the finished card

Crafty Ribbons New Challenge DT card - Geometrical is the theme

Hiya peeps

My apologies peeps, again I am a few days late, I have had so many doctors & hospital appointments this last month, Ive not been sleeping properly for a couple of months too, the sleep apnea clinic has told me that I have got to have more tests as their yearly tests show that my apnea has got worse and the machine that I have been using is not at the right setting. Its so horrible not sleeping properly. Im not going to go into more details until I know more. Back to why Im posting on here:

Its time for a Crafty Ribbons new challenge and also to welcome the new DT members. You can find out more information about the new DT members on the
main challenge blog HERE.

I used a piece of a 45m roll of ribbon that I bought from the Basics To Go section , it was a bargain at only £4.50 which works out at just 10p per metre!!!  Its called 15mm Wired Chantel Buttercup and made a fantastic bow, with it being wired ribbon, that can be moved to give different heights of bow ends if required!!

The image, called Happy Bee Day is a fabulous set of digis including the wonderful image of the girl dressed as a bee. She was just waiting to be coloured in as a proper bee!!! The backing paper is part of the Bugging Out Digi Papers, Set of 3 which is a fabulous bargain. I didnt need to cut the paper down in anyway to reach the need of this card as I can clearly see that it fits the 8x8 inch card that I made (using 2 x A4 WHITE CARD LINEN Weight: 255gsm )

One of Three DT cards for Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog

Hiya peeps

Today I have brought a card for you which is my DT make
for Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog.

The theme for this challenge is April Showers Bring Quirky Flowers.
Last month we had showers of furry friends (and here in the UK we also
had showers of rain, sleet, hailstones, mini snowballs and snow),
and April Showers result in May Flowers - I want to see flowers on
your project, either as part of an image stamped or printed,
or as part of the design, or even the paper you use! Easy Peasy then!

Due to unfortunate personal circumstances Quirky will be taking a long break from challenges and this will be the last challenge for a few months.

I chose to use Delicious Doodles - Floral Watering Can for the first of
my 3 projects and I used my Harmony make of alcoholic marker pens to colour all but the very tiny flowers on this digi stamp. For the very tiny flowers I used my fineliner pens from WH Smiths. The matt & layering toppers behind the image were already die cut in my stash and I was so lucky to find them in the perfect colours that I wanted to use. The plain purple rectangle was die cut quickly using one of my spellbinders dies. I wanted to follow another challenge blog as well
for this month too so I followed a sketch which explains the funny layout.
For my flowers I chose a mixture of One Apple Blossom,
Four Cherry Blossom & Four lilac 2 tone Aster Daisy stems
(all of which are from a company called Wild Orchid Crafts).
The thin lace is from my own stash but the 9mm grosgrain printed
with ladybirds on one side only comes in 3 colours, white, blue and
the pink that I used. You can find that ribbon on a wonderful
website called Crafty Ribbons.

I hope you like the card and that it inspires you to enter our challenge....
so easy this challenge, being add a/some flowers.
