A Shaped Card for Fitztown............

Hiya peeps,

Yes im back, this time with a small shaped card that Ive made for Fitztown Challenge Blog (as you are probably aware, I am on the Creative Team for them).
The card is shown below & I hope you like it. I used Halloween 13, Dracula type image and added a speech bubble to make a sentiment. I should have used a stamp but I learn after the fact (I dont suppose anyone else is like that??) To get the shape I just cut around him very carefully & then stuck him on to a piece of folded card (making sure that part of him was on the fold of the card). I did, though, overlap his cape so it adds more definition/shape.

I coloured the fabulous image with a mixture of Graph It & Flexmarker alcohol marker pens with a small touch of Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic pen on the cape neck chain, his eyes & the buttons on his waistcoat.

A New Challenge For Any Ribbon Addicts Out There.......

Hiya peeps,

Its late in the day/or should I say very early in the morning here in Staffordshire...
This is my creation for this blog challenge, Stitching Real Or Fake.
I decided to use a beautiful lovely Tiny Eveninpuff HobGobbi !!! A new character that Heather at Lacy Sunshine Stamps has offered to her friends/followers on one of her Facebook groups. The name of the HobGobbi, above, will take you to the page that the image is listed on.
The flower in white & a patchwork type are cut from a 3 die set that I cant remember whos dies they are but I was able to layer & add a faux pearl to the centre, The leaves are cut from the Cheery Lynn "vine border" die set. The card surrounding the image has all been cut with my trusty Spellbinders Labels One from the Grand Labels set. The words "Just A Note To Say" are from a recently released die from Tonic Studios.
Th majority of the colouring was done with Graph It markers & a touch of Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pen in blue & clear star.
The ribbon/stretchy cord I have used on this card can be found here, as it is part of the Jam Pot Ribbons, Apricot, coloured set of assorted ribbons. The whole different coloured sets of Jam Pot Ribbons are extremely good value & an even better bargain to buy all the colour options in one go!!!

Dont forget to enter your creation including "stitching, real or fake" on it..,  into this weeks challenge at Crafty Ribbons Blog Challenge link.
I hope you like this card of mine, and will, if you are not already, become a follower of my blog, I would sure appreciate it.

Back to the land of Dinosaurs....

Good Morning peeps....

This post is about a Birthday card I made a while ago but never blogged!!! Im hoping it still counts in the blog challenges that I wish to enter.

It is a commission order for a 4 year old boys birthday who loves watching the film
"Jurassic Park"!!!  No cartoon dinosaurs were the order of the day so I reverted to a trusty
cdrom by Robert Addams and it is just called Dinosaurs. Such really good value as there is a complete range from cartoon to silhouette to real life complete with the scenery.  It wasnt hard
for me to choose an image as I wanted to make it really scary, hopefully anyway!!  As it was quite large too I had to make an envelope for the card so I used a piece of 12x12 inch patterned paper which is very much a young childs birthday stuff as its covered with loads of balloons on it ;)
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and is from as little as £1 for 1.5mtr!!! Its available in Horses, Dogs, Cats Rabbits & Dinosaurs and each are available in various colourways.... An animal for every child???
I added Pinflair Craft Glaze to the eye so its more lifelike & the image was coloured with Graph It pens. I hope you like it as much as Dan did... ;0 xx

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown #201 of which the theme is Dinosaurs

Fitztown - A new challenge is on

Hiya peeps, I have to apologise again, for posting this late...

Over at Fitztown Challenge Blog this week we have the theme of "Masculine" so I chose to use Car 8 and to me, every extra special sports car is manufactured in red!! lol.
As I also only wanted to use 4 colours in the whole make I chose to use a burgundy base card stock, a yellow backing paper that was free in one of the Craft Magazines that I buy. I then used a teal card stock cut with a Spellbinder die to add depth to the scene. The sentiment is a new die that I brought from Tonic, and I love it!!! hehehehehe Oh I added Pinflair craft glaze on to most parts of the car to add a "shine" to it.... boy does that dry fast!!! The cogs & gears on the little easel part are cut from dies & I thought they added a lovely touch.

I hope you like the finished easel card.....
Dont forget the Masculine challenge, you only have until Sunday 29th to enter....

A distressed card, a change for me!!.....

Hiya peeps

Its time for a new challenge over at Stampin' For The Weekend Challenge Blog and the theme for this challenge number 12 is Anything Goes but we still used the very kind sponsors images from The Paper Nest Dolls.
From the range of their images I chose to use Teddy bear Emma.
I also took the time & effort to create a distressed look card with a lot of detailing on it. And if I do say so myself, Ive done a brilliant job! I love the whole card & how it looks.
Just some of what I used:
The card is an 8 x 8 inch square covered in a beautiful damask type brown paper from a craft magazine early last year
Die cut shapes distressed edged with ink
lace, 2 different types & colours plus a hessian open weave "band"
a pink ribbon added down the length of the card
A die cut strip in cream card to add depth & pattern to the fold edge
Distressed flowers of different sorts
and coloured Teddy Bear Emma with a mixture of Promarkers & a few Graph It pens

I hope you like this creation, its not like me to like a distressed card, but for a change I love this & even my teenage daughter commented on how lovely it is....
Enter your creation on our lovely challenge blog here
Thank you for being a fan of my page & taking the time to read through my posts.. I really appreciate every single one of you ;0 xxx

I have to say, with a sad heart, that this challenge is our last one. Stampin' For The Weekend Challenge Blog will be no longer after the winners of this challenge are announced. As it is our

A Guest Design Team for me....

Hiya peeps,

Yes I had the honour of representing Crafty Ribbons in a Guest position using our ribbon in a blog challenge for Trimmies Craft Challenge Blog and Website. Their theme for the challenge that we, are one of the companies sponsoring this week, is A Recipe!!! That recipe has to include:
1 x ribbon
2 x embellishments
3 x papers
and 1 x image

I used an image from Bugaboo called "Stella Fitness Level" & she is available to buy from here, coloured her with a mixture of Graph It & Promarker pens. Dies used are Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals & the smaller yellow oval with the sentiment on is a Die'sire die.  The ribbon used is a Swiss Dot Grosgrain in Tan with white dots & the 3 papers are from a 6x6 inch paper pad called Pretty Please Spring Papers from My Minds Eye.
I hope you enjoy the challenge over at C.R.A.F.T Challenge Blog otherwise known as Trimmies Craft Challenge Blog.

Thank you to admin from Trimmies for iniviting me to join you with my project for this challenge ;)

Fitztown Challenge #39 - Fav Colours

Good Morning peeps, perhaps too early for some?? Ive scheduled this post as Ive had to time it
to coordinate with the main post on the  Fitztown Challenge Blog which is based in the good olde USA...

This is a card that I made for no one in particular but the challenge for me was to use my favourite colour, I have so many but decided on purple. I used my Graph It pens for the skin, Promarkers, Flexmarkers for the rest with a Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pen in the colour of Clear Star to add sparkle to the Stardust Fantasy Fairy available to buy from here.
The plain & flowery patterned paper, along with the heart flag banner (cut from a La La Land die), faux pearls & faux gems are from my own stash.
The 2 ribbons & the button that I have used are both from a wonderful website called Crafty Ribbons

I hope you enjoy this card & dont forget to check out our blog challenge... ;0

I am entering this in to the following challenges:

A small white van man at work.......

Hiya peeps,

A bit late in the afternoon/early evening & I thought whilst Im waiting for a Window guy to call round so he can measure the inside of all my windows so they can be replaced with double glazing & disabled openings.
The challenge at Polkadoodles this fortnight is "All About The Men" challenge week 22 which ends on June 17th..
The card I created is actually a commission order that I had to make for a regular customer, this card was ordered along side 3 other cards, a husband, Mom & a Grandma, all Birthdays too!!
I used a fairly new digi stamp called Handyman Dave I needed a Plasterer image as the customers husband has his own Plastering Business. (His van doesnt have any graphics or writing on it else I would have really enjoyed trying to write on the small van).  As I needed a plasterer, I had to cut the tool box & saw away... so I downloaded (permission free) from google the plaster tools & then cut out & glued them in to place... Works a treat doesnt it??
The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons, the sentiment words (Happy Birthday) are die cut from Tattered Lace dies, and the other word (Dad) is cut from a die set that I brought from Robert Addams All Occasion Dies complete with Mummy and Daddy, Step, &, Son, Daughter all of which are available in 2 sizes both the word "and" + "&" are dies too). I cut the Daddy word down to make Dad as you also could do that with Mummy.

I coloured the plasterer man in a combinations of Promarkers, Flexmarkers & Graph It pens. The main colour of the overalls & his hat is a Flexmarker in Antique White.
I hope you like it.... (as much as my customer did).

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Digi Choosday Challenge wk 22 theme is All About The Men

The eyes are watching you.........

A post for Fitztown in my role as Guest Design Team member... using Googly Eyes which are featured on the challenge which started on Monday, June 2, 2014, Challenge No. 38. You can find
the original challenge post here

For this post I used an image called Cutie 13 and coloured him with my pastel shades of Spectrum Noirs, shades: HB1 2 & 3 (lilacs), FS8 (skin) (for his tongue & inside his mouth).
I then used a Graph It pen called Princess Rose (5120) and finally a Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic
pen number #520. I used a Memory Box Alphabet die to cut the letters to spell out "woof", and
the "You're A Star" was cut from a Tonic Studio die. The lilac ribbon with black spots is from Crafty Ribbons but is actually called " Organza Swiss Dot Ribbon - Hyacinth/Black to which the link above will take you directly to the page.   The faux gems, backing paper & googly eyes themselves are from my own stash.  I hope you like.

Stampin For The Weekend new challenge card

Yes, a new challenge over of ANYTHING GOES at Stampin For The Weekend
sponsored again by the fabulous The Paper Nest Dolls
for which they gave us some fabulous images to work with. I used is
Popcorn Ellie and she is actually on sale at the moment too!!!!
I coloured her with my set of Pastel Spectrum Noirs & Promarkers but I must say I am not
too happy with her hair... I shall have to work on colouring hair properly over & over & over lol.

The semi circle card stock is from a kit by Crafters Companion and is just the right size for the digi stamp of Popcorn Ellie that I had printed off. Other digis & rubber stamps are available from The Paper Nest website. They are lovely to colour. ;0

Dont forget our new challenge, get your images and join in with our challenge of
Anything Goes!!!! I know it is the favourite of the majority of people lol.
Lastly, ENJOY!!!! ;0 xxx
