A gift bag with tag for a girl or woman...DT project for Crafty Ribbons

Hiya peeps,

This post is about my DT (Design Team) project for the challenge over at
Crafty Ribbons Challenge Blog this fortnight.  The theme is "TAGS with ribbon (obviously)"

I used a bauble shaped image designed by Kenny called Happy Holidays and is currently on sale
on his website for a bargain price of $2!!!!

I have had the white gift bags for a couple of years now & even had to open the packet of 5 that they come in lol.
The image that I converted into the tag is backed with a white card base of 270gsm. All ribbons are stuck on with extra strong double sided tape apart from the red Happy Christmas ribbon on the tag tying it to the gift bag handle.
The White Christmas range which is described as:

White Christmas - Happy Christmas/Scarlet

9mm grosgrain printed with hand drawn "doodled" snowy Christmas trees and winter cottages with Happy Christmas message. Printed on one side only.
9mm grosgrain printed with hand drawn "doodled" snowy Christmas trees and winter cottages with Bonnes FĂȘtes message. Printed on one side only.

Both ribbons are EXCLUSIVE to Crafty Ribbons

Both of the other ribbons that I have used are from Crafty Ribbons too but they were from the
Bargains & Specials section of the website  and once gone they are gone. (Excellent value too!!!)

If you wish to know anything else about my project or the ribbons please leave me a comment below & I will get back in touch with you within 24 hours.

Halloween with Eleanor & Pickles Ve Vant Candy

Hiya peeps

This is a post about a Halloween card that I made yesterday afternoon, it was a quick colour but I still loved making Eleanor & Pickles Ve Vant Candy by Lacy Sunshine Stamps come to life... and the best bit - the digi image is on sale at the moment!!!!
I wanted, also, to use the main Halloween colours of Oranges & Browns.
Eleanor & Pickles were both coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Aquamarkers & Metallic Markers which are all by Letraset.
The final touch to this card was the 5 flat backed faux pearls and the 2 charms, the owl eyes which looks, in a way, like a horror mask and then the upside down cross.

2nd Guest DT member for CS Designs.... following up on the milk shake tub recycling

Hiya peeps, Im back with my 2nd Guest DT member for CS Designs altered art/recycle challenge blog called Recycle, Re-Purpose and Reinvent

October Fall Harvest Halloween Part 2

Welcome back to Part 2 and a Continuation  our last fortnight challenge. October, Fall, Harvest and Halloween challenge

Remember we always allow Anything Goes but any project you enteMust Still Include Recycling, also Only Those who follow our current posted Challenge Theme which we like to call the Bonus Round will be  eligible for Top 3 or any prizes being offered.

We are a fortnight challenge and will have 2 challenges per month, but since this month many countries celebrate Fall, Harvest & Halloween Our Overall Theme/Bonus Round for this entire month is October, Fall, Harvest and Halloween and we want to see anything and everything having to do with these themes in the projects you submit to us. It's a pretty broad theme with lots of spooky wiggle room and here are a just a few ideas to get you started. Think: Traditional colors for these holidays, Rustling leaves, Scarecrows, Big Round Pumpkins, Black Cats and Bats, Rattling Skeletons, Big Witches and Little Witches, and everything else that is Ghoulish and has an air of Spookiness to it. After all who doesn’t mind being just a teeny bit scared on Halloween when we know it's all in Fun!

For those of you who do not Celebrate Halloween: Please feel free to pick from the alternatives suggested above ie Fall, Pumpkins, Scarecrows, etc.

Most importantly ... Have Fun and Don't Forget to Recycle, Recycle, and Recycle!!!

You have until the 31st October to complete this challenge but dont forget:

Remember!!! ... We always allow Anything Goes but any project you enter Must Still Include Recycling, or be Re-Purposed or Re-Invented. Also Note: Only those who follow our current challenge theme which we like to call The Bonus Round will be eligible for Top 3 or any prizes being offered.

My project for this challenge is carrying on from the first part of this challenge when I transformed the milk shake tub in the photo below. For this part I decided
to recycle the tin can that my mushy peas came in (lol) but any can will do of any
size., it depends on what you want to use it for. I was recycling both of these items
for my teenage daughter as she loves anything gothic/horror type. I had to laugh
when she saw what Id done with the milk shake tub, she immediately snapped it
from my work desk & took it upstairs to put with the scissor holder!! lol

Right, with the tin the obvious first thing to do is to clean it out really well...and dry it.
Its up to you whether you take the label off but I chose not to.
I wrapped a piece of paper with black bats on a white background on to it, securing with Pinflair glue gel and immediately after wrapping a piece of open weave hessian around. The next job was to top that with a wide black lace around for added strength & to stop the backing paper to come off. Then I added the ivory antique looking lace to the top rim, the purple mini pom pom & black sparkle trim around the bottom.
I then printed off the picture of Bela Eyes, Bela Lugosi Digi Stamp and cut around the actual eyes only to give a more haunting effect. This was then stuck down on to
the tin using Pinflair glue gel. The results are amazing even if I say so myself.
Im so glad I went for the position of GDT for this amazing company, looking at the
images you wouldnt believe that they could look that good but its entirely up to your own imagination... let your imagination flow freely with these fab images...........

BOTH ITEMS TOGETHER, before and after.............

Crafting Musketeers Half way reminder blog

Hiya peeps

Today is the halfway reminder post for  Crafting Musketeers Challenge Blog #18 where the theme this month is Autumn Colours.

I decided to stamp an image this time instead of the usual digital images. I did enjoy it too, there's something different about stamping... so relaxing lol.
A small card again from me and also a tent or landscape card.
The stamps is from Whiff of Joy (check UK distributors for this company rather than paying the import duties from USA) and is from a range of stamps using the boy image called Oakley. I coloured him with a mixture of Promarkers and Graph It pens.
The ribbons are from Crafty Ribbons, Jam Pot selection Tawny Orange colour

From my own stash:
Base card, gold foiled A4 Hunkydory card, Sentiment quoting "Happy Birthday", faux diamond gems. The bit of rope by the ribbon knots is from my stash "almost throw outs" (then realising that I might be able to use the tiny bit of thick twine on something).

Singing In The Sea....

Wow, you are honoured!!!! 2 posts in one evening....

Another Kraftin' Kimmie too, this time by artist Annie Rodrigue at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and shes called Aurora

I wanted to create a fully embellished card with lots of flowers and a couple of charms (all from  my stash, as is the base card & metallic card label base for the sentiment).
Both ribbons are available from Crafty Ribbons website, they are the Sea Shell small at 50p per meter and Jam Pot Ribbons  a selection of assorted ribbon strips of 1m lengths all for £1 per bag, of which all the colours are fabulous with a wonderful selection of shades/complimentary colours of the required actual colour choice.
The card base was cut using my Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circle die set in a pale blue gingham check.
Aurora was coloured in using a mixture of Flexmarkers and Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pens.

Fancy a bit of Candy Floss?

Hiya peeps,

Another late evening blog post, this time for a small Kraftin' Kimmie stamp called Fabby Flossy

I stamped her directly on to the white linen effect and coloured her with my Promarkers and
Flexmarkers choosing my favourite colour at the moment (well for a long time now since my
Donny Osmond days (lol) which is purple (as purple is also Donny's favourite colour, well it was
going back to 1970+)....

Back to the card, As I wanted to make a clean & simple card I just added the hand tied bow and the 2 small little faux pearl flowers in the bottom corners.....
Any questions please dont hesitate to contact me using the comment box below, I promise to get back to you asap.

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges:

Little pom pom by LOTV

Hiya peeps,
Yes its another evening post by me!!! lol, Ive been busy with the stamps this afternoon...
this one by Lily of the Valley called Pom Pom, which incidentally, is being retired at the end
of November, so, if you like her enough to want to buy her, please hurry!!

I stamped Pom Pom directly onto the Papermill Direct, white linen effect card, added 2 different
sorts of white lace, the top layer of lace having a slight pearlescent effect to the eye!.
Coloured with a mixture of Flexmarkers & Promarkers and a touch of Sakura Gelly Roll pen in
Clear Star. Flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts, a pink Gardenia with two pink and one lilac Cherry Blossoms..  The little "Sent with Love" is from my own stash as is the paper layer inside the card.
I honestly cant remember where I got that sentiment from either, it was already stamped on to that piece of card in my "sentiment box". The white lace on the inside is the same as the bottom layer of lace on the outer of this card.
I hope you like this cutie as much as me ;0 xx
