Crafty Ribbons Birthday Card!!!!!

Well I must certainly apologise peeps!!!!  I really thought I had written a couple of paragraphs for this post!

Welcome to my post for this fortnights challenge for Crafty Ribbons which is to celebrate our 3rd Birthday............ and our 100th challenge!!!!!!

To celebrate this special event I have made a Grand Scalloped Circle die (from Spellbinders) to
create this lovely (if I do say so myself) large easel card. I used 2 sheets of A3 Papermill Direct
in pink, the image called Mice Birthday (which unfortunately is not available anymore) is from the fantastic regular sponsors for this challenge blog, Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured it with a variety of alcohol pens.
The purple mirror card, faux flat backed pearls & circular stamped "Happy Birthday Wishes" are from my own stash.
The 2 ribbons I have used are both exclusive to ourselves, Crafty Ribbons. The one along side the image is our Cake Ribbons - Happy Birthday Pink... and the wider one on the base is
Cake Ribbons - Candle, both ribbon can be used on cakes as well as for other crafters.
I hope you like this as much as I liked creating it ;0

A Sugar Nellie Creation............

Good Evening peeps,
Well, it is evening here, at almost 11 pm I decided to upload this most recent creation of mine so I can get it sent off. Im not telling you what/who its for yet, you will have to wait.

I used a digi image from Sugar Nellie called Furry Friends, Gift Wrapped and as its mainly black  fur effect all I had to do was to shade over it using brush strokes with shades of Promarker grey's. I used black Graph It pens for his one patch on his eye.
Using Graph It pens in shades of mint & red to colour the parcel & ribbon and then I also used the same red to colour the words "With Love"".
I die cut the base card & 2 layers of matt & layering using Spellbinders Decorative Ovals.I threaded 2 lots of 2 different .colours & types of ribbons through the side holes in the base card securing tightly at the back, going in opposite ways on the card. I glued the image of the dog using Pinflairglue gel. The paper & card flowers in the same coloured card/paper as the backing sheets are cut using the New cutting die sets made by Sue Wilson. The rest of the flowers are a large mixture of different makes from my own stash. The twisted furry items are just pipe cleaners twisted around a pencil (you can get these from most kids crafts department of so many shop now for approx £1 a packet).
Overall its a beautiful card and I really like the whole creation, of which, I hope you like it as much as I do... watch out for more cards featuring more of the Furry Friends range of images over at
Funky Kits (which is the home of Sugar Nellie in the UK) coming on here in the near future.

Challenge #16 with Crafting Musketeers

Hiya peeps, Its a Design Team project time again..... The half way challenge reminder.

This post is about the Crafting Musketeers Challenge Blog and our lovely sponsor this month is
Polkadoodles with a lovely prize of 4 work & play images. In fact the images on offer are the ones that us, as a Design Team, have been using.  They are: Train Guard, Florist, Diy Jennie & Office worker.

The theme this month is 1, 2, 3., chose yourself which way you use that.
I have gone for:

1 Train Guard
2 as in the number 2 on the train funnel
3 strips of washi tape for decoration & colour on the train

Below you will see another take on the Train Guard by me. I will keep this post on a smaller scale as I do know that I can waffle on... (sorry). So you have a hand drawn train by myself (free hand too!), Polkadoodles Train Guard, a die cut number of the age of the child (Ive gone for the number 2 to fit in with our theme). Also, strips of Washi tape for decoration but also for the theme, 4 hand drawn wheels & split pins (to allow the wheels to turn) & lastly the sentiment of choice, mine being the Happy Birthday.

Dont forget to pop over to our Challenge #16 link is here to add your project before the end date/time of 29th August at 8pm,  Please read our rules, on the challenge blog, as your project will be void if you dont follow them.
Happy Crafting peeps ;0 xx

A New Home...........

Hiya peeps

This is a card that Ive made for one of my newest friends & her husband to be.
Katie & Jake have just moved home (well just over a week ago) but its taken me
this long until I got the new address from them.

I already knew what image I wanted to use to make a special card for them and the
artist/designer is Digital Delights By Louby Loo and the fabulous, funny image is called
Moving House Myrtle.  Im so sorry to say though, that it does look as though, that Myrtle
is not available anymore......

Back to the card....
I coloured Myrtle with a mixture of Graph It & Spectrum Noirs, the backing papers are from a Tatty Ted 6x6inch paper pad. The spotty blue/pink/white dotty organza ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons and the white lace underneath is from my own stash.  The "New Home" words are die cut using Tattered Lace dies. The silver effect key is from That Craft Place.

I've been horsing around......

Hiya peeps,

Yes im late again!!! I had clean forgot about my newer Design Team creation that was sitting in a folder waiting for me to post on here!!
This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Doodle Pantry, from which I received the digi images called Saddle Up to work with. (See watermarked photo below)

Base card is a large size DL in white with 2 backing papers with the red Happy Birthday grosgrain ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.
The horse is coloured with mainly Promarkers, but I have used two Graph It marker pens...
The backing papers are from a cd brought to the craft world by Katy Sue Designs, but are in fact designed by Elisabeth Bell.
The sentiment came with the horse digi.

A simple card for a lovely challenge. Dont forget to join in with our Through The Craft Room Door Challenge for a chance to win

A Guest Designer in my own Creative Team!!!! lol ;0

Hiya peeps,

yes, I am laughing as Crafting Mustekeers DT have, due to unforseen circumstances, so they needed extra volunteers to create projects for this last weekends release of th;e new challenge.

So, welcome to our blog challenge #16 and the theme is 1, 2, 3. You can interpret this anyway you choose as long as you stay with the 1,2,3 theme , so for example you could use ,1 sentiment, 2 embellishments and 3 papers . The choice is yours.

The challenge for this month has been sponsored by the wonderful Polkadoodles and have provided us with the images that we have used. They are taken from the Work & Play series of cds. The winner of this challenge will win all 4 of the digi's that we have used, Office, Florist, Train Guard & DIY Jennie .

For this extra creation I have used the Train Guard and stuck him in front of a Steam Train that I had downloaded from a selection of  Copyright free that I found on the internet. He was coloured with Graph It pens. The background paper with the steam train on is matted against a dark green backing paper and the "Happy Birthday" & number "3" were cut in white 200gsm and then coloured with a blue Graph It pen to match the guards flag.
My 1, 2, 3 theme is: One digi (Train Guard), 2 Backing Papers and 3 as in the number 3!!
I hope you like my card and I am looking forward to my main creation for the halfway reminder post of this challenge.

Dont forget to pop over to the Challenge Blog and get your entry in!!!

My Challenge Poster for Fitztown

Hiya peeps

A scheduled post for my Creative Team project for Fitztown;

I decided this time to create a stepper card to showcase the beauty of Stardust, using the image snp1. My favourite colour is also used, lol, purple again!!!

Stardust is coloured in using Graph It pens with an added touch of Sakura Gelly Roll "Clear Star" Glitter pen.
Matt & layered with mirror card in purple & topped with a lilac paper with pale pink hearts on. After colouring Stardust I cut her out leaving just a small border of the white card she was printed on to. Then I mounted her onto the Oval die using double sided foam to give her some lift. The oval was then mounted on to the middle set using more double sided foam. I die cut the "Just For You" and "Daughter" sentiments and stuck them to the card, again, using double sided foam,. The lilac ribbon on the left hand side of the image is threaded through a large pink heart shaped button. The flowers. pipe cleaners (which I twisted myself around a paint brush handle) and pink mesh butterfly are all from my own stash.

I hope you like this card.... but dont forget to check out the fabulous images, mugs, fabric pieces (of which I have one piece ready to create something with but its now finding time to sew along with creating all the cards I have to) on the fabulous Fitztown Website and then entering your coloured creation on to our Challenge Blog.

A Sketch Challenge using a particular stamp

Hiya peeps,

Im so glad that Google is working again now for me... I had to ask for help though on a forum as I hadnt got a clue what was going on & it turned out to be the Chrome extensions (apps that had added on to Chrome & start up every day when I turn the computer on). All I had to do was "disable" the extensions & everything works fabulously since.

So, on to this card, I have seen a challenge on Facebook and using any Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps the challenge is to, create a card following the sketch provided. The group that has set this challenge is Kit & Clowder Facebook Group (this will take you through to the photo album where all the entries are uploaded by the creators.

The stamp I used for this challenge is called Fabby Flossy from Kraftin' Kimmie, but I brought her from an online shop (new).

Both card stocks, white base & blue matt & layer, are both from Papermill Direct. The scalloped white card topper was cut using my Spellbinders dies set.  I coloured Fabby Flossy using
Graph It marker pens and the 2 lots of lace are both from my stash.
I edged the scalloped topper with the same Lime Green Graph It pen as the dress was coloured in before the shading was added.
I hope you like her.....

I am also entering this card in to the following challenges (along with the Facebook group):

613 Avenue Create: theme is Anything Goes With optional twist Friendship Day

Come and Get It Challenge: theme is Use A Die
