Kenny K's Krafty Krew Blog Challenge No 124

My first blog challenge for months and i'm hoping that it does my reputation as
qood quality creations. I will confess though that i did rush through making it as i
thought the end time was tonight but its not for another 6 days.....
The blog challenge rules state "You can use any image for the challenges,
but only those using Kenny K Digi or rubber Stamps will be entered into the draw"
so i'm limited for a short while as to what image i can use as ive not got
many stamps or images by Kenny K. I chose the "Buggin Drummer" as it
seemed to fit for an invitation. I used both mirror card and patterned papers
from my own stock, the green letters spelling out "party" are made by Prapermania,
and are made from stiffish sticky backed card. The card itself is again from my own
stock of assorted weight of card stock.

I am entering this invitation into the following blog challenge:

A Birthday card in December 2012

A Birthday card in December........for one of my step grandaughters.

Aisha will be 5 years old on Saturday 8th December, and like most young school girls,
loves the idea of Princesses, Fairies and Dreams.  As I'm still only partly unpacked
(after having to pack everything & move out for 8 weeks, whilst disability adaptations
were done),  I've made do with what was to hand, which wasn't much in the way of
Disney Princesses or fairies suitable, until I came across a Kanban A3 card making kit.
The card below is the result and I'm quite pleased
with it.

At least I should be able to make some half decent Christmas cards now, well, if I use
the Christmas kits that I keep Sorry, scrap that, I'm part way through
making a silver/white & pink Christmas card, complete with running deers & snowflakes

That's all for tonight, sorry, this morning as it's now 1.41am..............
Happy Crafting peeps, see you soon

Mmmmm A good challenge....part 3!

This post is continued on from the blog post on August 19th:

I had some marvelous news 2 days ago, my best friend of almost 40 years, has 2 daughters and a son, the middle child Rebecca had announced her engagement!! I instantly went into thinking mode: wow, congratulations, what design of card can I make her, what to use???? I did know that I didnt want to use a picture, image, or sentiment so something different was called for! Well, as usual, That all went out of the window when I actually sit down at my craft table and decide on what the main element of the card is going to eyes fell on the heart haped white doileys that I had brought a couple of months ago, that was it!! My focal point of the card was going to be the heart.....and I had the perfect backing papers from the same range to add to the whole ongoing design!!

I chose an 8 x 8 inch scalloped edged card blank in ivory to start the card going, adding a matt & layer consisting of 2 papers from the Dovecraft Tea Party range (cutting an invert quarter circle to each of the 4 corners) and then added the new ribbon I'd brought from an internet supplier., its a beautiful pale ivory lace ribbon with pink hearts woven in to the lace. I then added a heart shaped lace doiley from Dovecraft's Tea Party range to the centre of the card but not across most of the ribbon. I then used silicon glue to uplift a thin card heart that I cut from a pale lilac colour using a Marianne Design die. I then, after careful thought, added the smallest faux gems I had got in my stash, to cover the little holes left by the cutting die! I added the "congratulations" sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, with the assorted pastel coloured mulberry paper hearts to both sides of the doiley a soft romantic feel to the card (in my eyes anyway lol). I hope you like the finished result...

This card is the final instalment for the Facebook challenge that Nikky Hall (owner/creator/designer at who set a challenge for us, on August 5th, to make 3 blog posts during the month of August:!/groups/130211167019322/

Please, not only keep commenting on my posts, but also follow my never know what you might find out about me!! lol ;0 xxx

Mmmmm A good challenge.... part 2!

This post is continued on from the blog post on August 5th:

Part 2:  My dear neighbour moved house yesterday to a village a couple of miles away,
she did a house exchange with the tenant of the 3 bed house and luckily this woman
wanted to move back to here.  I wasnt going to let Alison go with out me atleast
giving a card so hence me looking through my stamps. I can across my Polkadoodles
box and I knew instantly that one from the "Neighbourhood" range would be ideal, so
I chose the mushroom house as I wanted the garden feel to the card...
I made the side stepper card from one piece of A4 card, chose the backing shaped
pieces of coloured card from one of my storage boxes (as when I get my Grande
Calibur out I tend to cut more than the ones I want for that particular card) and then
cut the felt flowers and the "grass" using my newer cutting dies (the grass one is from
Marianne Designs at ) and felt squares from
the prize I won on Facebook last month (curtosy of Colour-Full-Felt at )

I stamped the mushroom house, trees and small flowers using Memento Ink and then
I stamped the trees using Momento Ink and Archival (for the green tree leaves). All the
stamped images were coloured using my Promarkers. The Butterfly is cut from a sheet
of Polkadoodle printed paper from the Pen&Circle Club mini cdrom issue 3. (I cant
remember where I brought or what company made the butterfly die).
The finishing touch is the flower shaped faux pearls on the centre of the 2 felt flowers
and then along the grass.
The verse was printed on a piece of pearlescent paper and folded in (half like a card),
cut to size to fit on the back of the card and then stuck down on to the back of the largest
side of the card.  Photographs taken and the card is finished....

Mmmmm A good challenge....

Nikky Hall of the company Polka Doodles, (can be found at
has given Facebook craft group Polka Doodle Dandies, of which Im a member, to blog
3 cards in a month.
This usually isnt a problem for me but I must say that lately Ive had problems in keeping
awake and keeping up with my emails let alone anything else. Still, a kick up the bum is
just what I, along with many others I think, will need.

Ok Nikky, blog number one on Saturday evening 4th August at 11.15pm..:

The first card I wish to tell you about is a card I made using a digi stamp offered to
us by Emma Canning, who is now, able to sell her digi stamps on by Nikky kindly asking her.   Anyway, after printing out the
image, onto a thin white card, I coloured the image of the girl in Flex & Promarkers, then
cutting them with my Spellbinders dies and my Grande Calibur. The papers are all from
the Pen & Circle club issue 3 cdrom, (I love them as they are so fresh but also bright). The
flowers, Mulberry paper and the double sided ribbons are both from my own stash.

Kimmie Krafting Design Team Application Entry

Here are six photos of my Design Team Application for Kimmie Krafting.
I used one of their stamps from Canine Capers set One, coloured it with Promarkers and even coloured in the background with a light Putty colour as I didnt want the plain white of the card to show through all over. It was then glued onto the backing die cut label one shape. I then got the A4 sheeet of pearlescent deep cream card from in the Lake District, scored the card to form the A5 basic card shape.  I covered the front of the card with a paper from a Polkadoodles cdrom Id got, then I turned the top right hand corner over and secured that with a brad through to the inside of the card. The stamped image topper was then placed on foam pads and stuck in the middle of the card. I then placed the clear faux gems on wire stems either side as well as two small bows made from pink ribbon with little dogs on. The finishing touch is the sentiment and the roses of two different sizes and two colourways.
All in all, a beautiful card that covers almost any occasion.

My Facebook Giveaway win...

Here is just 4 out of the 10 photos of what I won this last Friday. 20th July, and it was at my home on Monday morning.!! Fabulous service and a wonderful prize of 72 x 4 inch square, one of each colour!!  Its not too thick either so it can be die cut using my Spellbinders....and boy, am i looking forward to that part!! Keep a look out in the near future for the first card I make using one or more sheets of this felt.  Well done Colour-Me Felt for giving away such wonderful stash

A couple of cards, both of which are Competition entries (Dawns Crafy Cards) and Jammi Panda Crafters

The above card was one of my competition entries, this time one of my Facebook friends regularly has a card swop with professional sponsers. It was to try and win set of stamps, very kindly sponsered by Sue Wilson. The challenge was to make a card using Sue's favourite colours of Teal Black & White. I was very pleased and enjoyed, such alot making the card, but obviously unhappy that I didnt win. The card size is an 8 x 8 inch with the fold on the DL fold/score line on any score board. The stamped image is from Lily of the Valley and coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers (on the skin only). All the leaves, the flower shapes and the scalloped square teal coloured card were cut with Spellbinders dies. All the items used in this make are from my own stock.
You can check out Dawns website at:

Jammi Panda Crafting...

The next lot of photos are of another challenge make, this time for a Facebook group
called Jammi Panda Crafting. Ive got a lot of friends on there and we are actually
meeting up, as a group very soon and I cant wait to meet everyone of those wonderful
friends face to face. Its also going to be so relaxing for me to be out and away from
home even if just for a short break.
Anyway, back to the card, the challenge was to use all of the elements sent from boss
lady Fee, (Head Panda as we all call her) lol. The elements were sheets of papers and
images for decoupage or just usage as we wish. The only added item we had to use
was acetate. I used my acetate behind the stars to make them move!

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Blog Challenge June 2012

Morning peeps....well yet again another blog challenge lol, seriously I love
making the cards for these challenges as it gives me something to focus on
that is different than making a card to order or for one of the family members.
This weeks Kraftin Kimmies challenge is to make a card to the same or very
simular layout to the sketch that they have set using one of their stamps.
As I have a few of their stamps, which are all lovely and cute so I had trouble
deciding which one to use!! I decided on using "Friends are for Hugging" and
then coloured her in using my pro & flexmarkers. I then cut around her image
and slightly curved the whole of her image to give a feeling of depth to the image.
She was then glued into place using Pinflairs glue gel. The 2 different types of
lace was added to the card and all was securely fixed on place. The sentiment and
flowers were the last things to be glued into place.

I have entered this card into the following blog challenge:

Polkadoodles Blog Challenge Summer Scene Theme Wk 24

Challenge time over at, this time for a Summer Scene theme....

Ive chosen to use the Candy Doodles cdrom from for the image and used both Flexmarkers & Promarkers for the colouring and all the papers and the sentiment circles are from the Pen & Circle mini cdrom collection(again from but not available at all anymore as it is a limited edition mini cdrom and magazine). Ive added a few faux pearls, along the front in 2 different shades of red to compliment the strawberries on the papers. The overal effect of this triple twisted easel is well complimented with the lime green pinks and reds of the papers.
I have entered this card into the following challenge:

Im also going to be entering this card into the design team challenge call from polkadoodles.... Id love to talk/work along side Nikki Hall (Polkadoodles designer and owner)as shes so inspriarational to me...wish me luck please... ;)

Long time no blog!!

My apologies for not blogging for a few weeks again, Ive just not had time!!
Well Ive been busy getting ready for my last craft fair as Im giving up driving
and selling my car. Its a case of having to due to my failing health.
Looking on the bright side, that will enable me to concentrate on my commission
orders and the blog challenges I take part in, that is to either be a guest or full time
designer for that blog or to win prizes .
I thought I would share two of the cards that Ive busy making (that is inbetween
falling alseep whilst crafting or on the laptop thinking of the verses that were needed)

A competition entry for a blog,
to win sets of stamps, entry requirements

Diddy Doodles blog Challenge for June is "Teenager"

Hiya from my mums blog, Im Tia and Im on the design team for Diddy Doodles and I enjoy making cards, it makes me feel so relaxed as most of the time is spent deciding how to layout all the items.

This month I decided to use the Prettty Tuff cdrom from which is all boys stuff as in all the charactors are boys, with tractors, cars, trucks and some sporty stuff on it. The papers on the disc are lovely though and they compliment the images

I chose to use a boy called Jay and the skateboard, both of which I coloured in using my mums promarkers and flexmarkers on his face. I made the easel card using just one piece of A4 card, covering the bottom with blue holographic card. Every item I used was from my mums stock.

This card is used on the diddydoodles blog challenge for children upto the age of 16 at:

I hope you like the card, Love Tia x

Anything Goes Guest Design Team Blog Challenge for May 2012

As a Guest Designer for Creative Craft Challenges2:

Wow, Im really honoured to be chosen as a guest designer for
Creative Craft Challenges Blog
and Im really excited!!!  My first chance at this honour for which I
spent weeks deciding what to make for the challenge of
"Anything Goes", sponsered by Love to Stamp, so the prize is fantastic.

I, decided after a long while of thinking, to decorate a paper bag and gift tag
so it can be used as a gift bag.
I, obviously only decorated the one side of both the tag and the bag.
For start off, I cut the backing paper out of a piece of my own stock of 12x12
papers into the large scalloped circle and topped it with a Me to You Bear topper.
I then cut some green felt with a new Marianne Design cutting die in a lattice effect
curved border, again using my Grande Calibur. I had to roll the felt through 3 times
before it finally cut but the effect is beautiful. This is one die that I will be using often.
I then glued these in place on the bag under and to the left of the Me to You topper,
added a stick on 2 layered butterfly in yellow and black, glued 3 different sized,
different shades of green buttons on to the bag following the line of the cutting die.
The final touch is the orange and ivory flower which again, is from my own stock.
The tag was made in the very same way apart from the sentiment topper, which
was cut from a die simular to Spellbinders and I used Anita's silver coloured peel off's
to spell out "For You". The butterfly on the tag is a white stick on, from the same pack
as the yellow&black one.
This make was completely out of my comfort zone as Id never decorated anything other
than a card before, so Im a pure example of "Anything Goes" lol, try it once in a while,
its fun!!!! I hope you like as much as I do xx

This bag and tag was made for the following:

From Tia: Diddy Doodles time again, for May 2012

Hi, it's Tia and it must mean that it is Polka Doodles junior blog challenge called
Diddy Doodles!!!
As you might be aware, Im on the design team for Diddy Doodles and each month
we have a Junior Blog Challenge open to any child under the age of 16 to design
and make an item based on the theme that Nikky Hall (owner and designer of Polka
Doodles) who sponsers this challenge, Thank you Nikky.

Our task this month was to make a card/design based on the theme of:
Garden & Growing (flowers, gardening etc) chosen this month by my design team
member Caitlin.

For this card I used a standard A4 sheet of white card folded in half and stuck on
background paper printed from "All around and Everywhere" cdrom by ., printed off another background sheet from the same cdrom,
cut it down to the size I wanted and then stuck that down as well.
I then scrolled through the "Double Spinkle of Craft", again from
cdrom and saw the toadstools image (below) and decided that would fit lovely into my
design!  I shrunk the image down as it was was too big when the toadstools image and
weeds were "cut out" of the cdrom page using the Snapshot tool.  I coloured the tree
image and the toadstools/weeds using my mums promarker pens (shes brought loads
more since our last challenge so Im happy!!! lol)  I then, obviously stuck the toadstools
and weeds on to the card.
The final touch was a hot pink coloured flower, the purple large gem butterfly and
sentiment that I found in my mums stock...she will soon regret (not) for letting me loose
on her card making stash if I keep this up lol, as much as I love my mum I dont think
she will love me as much for much longer. I might get a break from looking after
her so much (as shes disabled)  ;)   I love you mum xxxxxxx
