Hiya peeps
Todays card is my DT card for the
end of September competition. As our theme
this time ANYTHING GOES with optional use texture,
I added 4 different items on to this project to give the
"Texture" option part of our challenge. These textures are
explained as you continue to read through this post.
The card measures 22.5cm x 21cm (8.75in x 8.24in approx)
and is made using 2 x A4 sheets of linen effect white 255gsm
brought from my favourite cardstock website Papermill Direct
located in the Lake District.
I coloured the gorgeous digital image from Mari Digis Store
Translation that is!, with pencil crayons and added Liquid Glass to her eyes, the seahorse's eyes and all the bubbles.
****Oh, I do apologise, sincerely, I published this post without double checking and realised that I hadnt finished writing it****
I put that to one side whilst I created the card base, the matt & layering, and adding some of the texture with a lime green "spiders web" netting that I brought from a well known shopping channel for craft stash, added a width of white lace,
stuck down a strip of blue satin and added a thinner strip of pink ribbon. I still decided that it needed something else....
So it was then time to add pearl effect squares with pearl effect center. i did carefully measure the length of embellishment that I needed to give the 2 small rows of 6 for each side. The final piece of ribbon was the wide seahorse & sea bed that was stuck down to each side. The large round circle in the top left hand
