Challenge #146 August 31st
My membership part of being on the DT for
Creatalicious Challenge Blog
where the challenge (#146) is Anything Goes
(with the option to use pastel colours)
This month the wonderful company
Sasayaki Glitter is sponsoring the challenge and offered us a few digis to work with, one of them was Image #113 Summer Fun
I just wanted to make a simple card, one that I could
post on to one of my many Facebook friends for their
birthday (postage is just too high now to make a heavily embellished card). I folded an A4 piece of green card in half, added the piece of multi coloured chevron striped paper (from a set of free papers that I receive from a craft magazine that I subscribe to) taping that in place going from the top of the horizontal sided card
to the bottom. I then coloured the digi image with my pencil crayons (with the intent of making it bright & colourful for the summer season). To make the sun glasses and glass of drink shiny I added some drops of liquid glass from DecoArt. I believe this is available from various larger sized websites & shops (just leave it to air dry). The words "With Love" are cut in coloured card using a steel die and glued to square
pieces of scrap pale green gingham paper & then stuck to the same yellow card to match the card mounted beneath the coloured image (in a bright yellow). The pearl effect mini flowers glued to the flip flops on the image are from my own stash (they cover a small flower drawn on the image).
I hope you can join us in the challenge for this month.
