My 2nd card for Quirky Crafts Masculine with ribbon or twine challenge

 Hiya peeps,

This time the digi I have used is from Bugaboo and called Video Game Guy.
I love this image as it  reminds me of both of my grandsons, but mainly the eldest
one as he sits in a chair to play but the youngest one sits on the floor.

Right, back to the card in making. The digi, is amazing for any playstation or xbox lads birthday cards. I staged it on my card to be in his bedroom on the console,
with peanuts and a drink on the floor.
The burgundy lace is from Crafty Ribbons & is a viscose lace
Everything else on the card is from my own stash, inc the base card
from Papermill Direct. The piece of contrasting paper in blue with
white circles is supposed to be a piece of art or framed piece of wallpaper
& to jazz the room up I added a silver card die cut "J" for Jamie,
my eldest grandson, for his 16th Birthday in July.

I hope you like this card!!

Quirky Crafts Challenge, Masculine with ribbon or twine, March 2016

Hiya peeps,

Just a quick post for you to get me back into blogging after being m.i.a. for a couple of weeks due to a really bad chest infection. Im only just getting my strength back up to normal after the episode of coughing so much that it hurt!!

The card Im showing you today is for the Quirky Crafts Challenge blog and their theme this week is Quirky Masculine with ribbon or twine.

We also have a DT call going on which, to my thinking is that we only need one more member but I suppose Carol (our beloved team leader) might choose more. Get your applications in asap and have some fun with us while being rewarded.

The image that I was very kindly supplied with to use is from SLS Lines & is called Whimsical Pirate and a skull treasure island map that I downloaded from Google search but only for images that allow the picture to be reused (due to copyright issues);
He sort of reminds me of Captain Pugwash from the TV series that I used to watch in the 1970's (yes I was at high school but it was on tv when I got home from school & it as so funny).
(Captain Pugwash is a fictional pirate in a series of British children's comic strips and books created by John Ryan. The character's adventures were adapted into a TV series, using cardboard cut-outs filmed in live-action (the first series was performed and broadcast live), also called Captain Pugwash, first shown on the BBC in 1957, a later colour series, first shown in 1974–75, and a traditional animation series, The Adventures of Captain Pugwash, first aired in 1998)

I am entering this card into the following challenge(s)

SLS Lines Challenge theme is:   Inspired by a movie/book/song (Captain Pugwash on tv & made into children's books with a theme song to the programme too).

An Easter Card for Maisey

Hiya peeps,

Today I would love to show you a card that I made yesterday.  Unfortunately though, my laptop is playing up and wont let upload any photos from my laptop!! Im really annoyed as the card has turned out so girly and lovely.  I will, however, keep trying and add the photos as soon as I can. OK, its now Monday evening and Ive finally been able to upload the photos of Maisies card.

The card base I used is an extra large DL in the landscape setting when I added
the topper, coloured in using Harmony Alcoholic pens. This was foam pads stuck to the pink backing topper, which was glued to the actual card base. I made a small slit just slightly wider than the ivory organza ribbon so I could thread the ribbon through to secure on the inside back, the bottom of the card end of the ribbon was also secured on the inside back of the card. The spotty flower is from a new packet that I bought from The Works bargain shop. The faux pearl is from my own stash and is 20mm wide. The 2 ladybugs, button & charm, are also from my own stash.

PS:  My sincere apologies to The Cutting Cafe, as I havent given details of the image I have used for this card. Its called Wheelbarrow Deliveries Printing Set and even if you dont have a cutting machine, most if not all of their images are available as PDF's so you can cut them out by hand as I did.

So check out the fabulous challenge of Quirky Crafts Challenges and see if you  could win fabulous sets from:

Christmas Words - Joy....

Hiya peeps

This is a couple of days late so I do, sincerely apologise, for posting
this card., this often happens lately but Im sure its Blogger itself.

For this month's challenge for CraftyHazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra
and as always, our theme is "Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas".

I used a blank scalloped edge card base from Craftwork Cards
and is 6x6inch. The silver metallic cardstock (from my own stash)
was die cut and embossed using a Sue Wilson Designed
Creative Expressions die set called Noble, Classic Adorned Squares
(and there are 6 dies to this set).
I then coloured the digi image, that Bugaboo very kindly gave me
to work with, using Harmony alcoholic marker pens from
Create & Craft tv. The glitter came from Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pens.
It was an enjoyable digi to colour as the word says lol.
I added 2 types of ribbon, both from Crafty Ribbons, of a
gorgeous glittery red eyelash type "ribbon" and the white grosgrain
with silver effect snowflakes.  I felt as though this card was now finished.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

CraftyHazelnuts Christmas Challenge, weekly
theme is always Anything Goes, (as long as it's Christmas)

Pearl Pink Saddle Stitch Grosgrain ribbon on a card.....

Hiya peeps.
Im here today to show you a card that I made a couple of days ago,
especially for Sunday, as its my turn to post on
Crafty Ribbons Inspirational Blog
(Blogger is having a fit on me as this post was scheduled to post
on Sunday morning and I didnt realise until late last night
that this post hadnt gone live).
This card is an 8x8 inch white linen effect card base, topped
with a pre-coloured image from Crafty Sentiments Designs which
was actually free to download through the
purchase of Papercraft Inspirations Magazine issue 140. I matted this
with part of a sheet of beautiful glittered spotted thin card
from an 8x8 inch First Edition Love Letters premium paper pad.
The ribbon I used to show off this clean & simple card is a
beautiful Pearl Pink Saddle Stitch 10mm wide grosgrain ribbon
from Crafty Ribbons and a seperate handmade bow glued on top
of the pink strip. The faux gems are from my own stash.

Hope you all have a wonderful day
{{{Happy Crafting Hugs}}}

Marg ;) x
