CDT (Heather Valentin's Color Of Love) post for Jan 2020

Eleanor & Pickles Fishing For Love

My CDT project for January 2020 is
Eleanor & Pickles "Fishing For Love"

This digi image was drawn by Heather Valentin of
Color Of Love website & I really enjoy colouring her images.

I love colouring using assorted pencil crayons for over
a year ago and this digi, was, really no exception.
Having used a red fineliner pen by Artez, a Peabo white paint pen (on Eleanor's eyes). The digi was printed on to  used Ryman's 200gsm white printer cardstock, which is fabulous to colour on, no matter which  medium you,
as a crafter, might use.

I am keeping the image,as an A4 page until I can hang all the
framed images in the same frames.

I dont want to enter this coloured image into any craft challenges
as many of the challenges that I know are for a card or finished project.

I hope you like her as much as I do!!

NJC Challenge Post for Jan 2020

Ben's Birthday Card:

For my youngest grandson's birthday this last year, on New Years Eve,
I made him the card featured below using:

2 x A4 sheets of Linen effect 225 gsm cardstock
1 x 12x12 inch sheet of Rainbow Mirri cardstock
1 x A4 sheet of red cardstock
1 x A4 sheet of Rymans 200gsm smooth cardstock
3m roll of dark red grosgrain ribbon

An image taken from the
Lichfield Hockey Club

Ben loves playing hockey, and enjoys playing for one of the mens teams
for the last few years that I recall, I cant remember how old he was
when he started playing for the club but he was only a young lad, at
infant school when he picked up a hockey stick, that had been left out
of the store room for some reason, when his dad was rugby training
early one evening.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

An Autumn Card to Challenge The Weather?

Todays card is an Autumn themed card which I think is quite cute!

I used an image, and backing papers given free within
that I subscribe, which is issued every month.
I have subscribed to this magazine for some years now and surely,
I should be given a long service medal!!!! 😄😄

Anyway, I used one of a collection of some gorgeous printed papers
with the lovely, cute, and colourful image of the girl with the umbrella.
I die cut that into a rectangle, matted that to a mini scalloped die cut
which is slightly larger. I then die cut an even bigger rectangle in a gorgeous mini leaves in multiple autumnal colours, having die cut a smalled mini scalloped rectangle at the same time for the sentiment to go on,
I decided to add the ribbon (well cord actually but very smooth), across
the dark caramel coloured backing card. The finishing touches are
the words "Thank You" and the 3 Stickles Glitter Glue in a metallic orange.

The colours on the card match almost fully, to the stated colours on
the "Color Throwdown Challenge Blog" for this week....

I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:

Not Just Cards Challenge Blog time today.......

Hiya peeps

Yes its time for a new challenge over at

As always, our challenges are Just For Fun with a
blog badge for the winner and the top three positions.
The theme is always Anything Goes too!!!

This month I made a card for a Facebook Friend's 50th Birthday,
I decided to use the Rose Gold Moments Collection by Hunkydory as I had
the set just sitting on a shelf not being used for almost, if not all of a year or more! Lol, Ive got to stop my spending for a long time...

The base card itself, was made up of 2 x A4 sheets of Linen effect
250gsm white cardstock from Papermill Direct. I then chose the cover
piece of card, cutting it down to the right size and then mounting it etc.
The only details I needed to add were the downstrip card ribbon the to sentiments and the arched image that matches the backing card perfectly.
The card ribbon is as flush as can be to the backing card then I used foam pads to add the image & two small sentiments. The circle "Bid 50" is an after thought of mine using a pinky beige coloured paper to cut it out. The last item to add was the insert.....
Overall the card measures out as almost 9 inch x 8 1/2 inch.

I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:

Mushroom mice....

Hiya peeps

Todays card is an easel scalloped circle card using a
lovely cute digi image from Di's Digi Designs

It came with no particular name so I called it
Mushroom Houses Mice. I think it was a special
freebie for a colouring event by Kit & Clowder.

I die cut the scalloped circles and nested circles
using dies by Spellbinders. The sentiment die is from
Tonic Studios. I hand coloured the cute image using
assorted colouring pencils. The ribbon was from my own stash.
I used a split pin to add the sentiment circle to the main card
front so it could be turned inwards so it didnt make the card
an arkward shape for posting. As it is an easel card it makes it
able to lie as flat as possible for posting. You can see how they
open by looking at the photos below.

Not Just Cards Challenge time....

Hiya peeps

Its time for a new challenge at

Not Just Cards Blog

As always our challenges are Anything Goes
and is just for fun (apart from our lovely blog badge!!!)

My card for this month is a cute freebie from
Gerda Steiner
It is called Cupcake Bear
This link will take you to the Digi Stamp Challenge Blog where you can
sign up for the newsletter also.

I created a standard A5 landscape card with a special
sentiment of: Make A Wish With Love

Ive cut out a few circles with various diameters and stuck on little
card dots in a variety of different colours but still sticking
to a colour pallet of Razzle Berry, Purple Rain, Cement Gray and Sweet Tooth.
This combination also includes 2 of my favourite colours that I love to combine, being, Any shade of pink with any shade of Purple.
I tried to match the colours as much as possible from my stash that I already own (Ive got that much that I dont really want to buy anymore yet).
I chose the design using circles as that is on trend at the moment but also
is the theme for quite a few blog challenges that I was thinking of entering.
I hope you like the card...

On another note, I had a lovely surprise visit today from my
eldest daughter Steph and my handsome grandsons,
Jamie (19) and Ben (15). My son-in-law, Martin, picked them up after work.
My 2 grandsons are so good to me and dont mind doing some work, with
Ben taking Reggie a walk/jog around the leisure center grounds twice!!
