Hiya peeps
Todays card is not nice to give as its for sympathy,
or a death. I used a paper decoupage kit that came
in a pack of two different images. Lilies were chosen
by my daughter, Tia, who was giving the card to a service
users of hers. The husband was the very first one that
Tia visited on her rounds of community carer for the same
company that she still works for.
A very simple card was all that was needed, in my opinion,
I dont think many people will disagree with that. A piece
of cream hammered effect card stock was folded in half, a piece of brown organza ribbon was tapped to the back of a piece of dusky pink lightweight card stock and then stuck down on to the base card. I added a ribbon bow from the same batch as the other using silicone glue gel.
I then topped the whole card with a die cut decorative circle, to which, I had already stuck down the decoupaged picture. To finish the card I just glued the two words: For You and then a suitable verse
printed on to an A4 sheet of pearlescent paper.
I hope you like the card, even though I knew Tia was quite upset of loosing the lovely gentleman that her service
user was, and that she wouldnt have any need to visit the wife anymore.
I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:
I have to disagree with you..."In Sympathy" cards can make a huge difference to the recipient when it comes to acceptance of the situation, and knowing that someone will be there for them when they need them :) Yours is classically simple and beautiful ..and handmade, which says even more than most can imagine. Thank you for sharing it with us at Crafting with Friends XXX
