Hiya crafters and handcrafted card lovers,
Im showcasing a beautiful clean & simple card that I have made today for a Design Team application that I would like to pass on to Noor Designs UK to see if they will consider me to
be a worthy crafter for their fabulous company & website.
About me:
I am a 53 year old disabled single parent to a 17 year old daughter and also mother to my eldest daughter who is married and has given me 2 lovely grandsons. I have been crafting for most of my life, but mainly card making for the last 6+ years on a continual progress as I am no longer able to work due to my disabilities. I craft, therefore, to keep my mind and my hands active. I love to craft as I can not just sit about watching the television or surfing the net. I class crafting as not only my life, but also my therapy. I adore all sorts of images and can work with both digital and rubber stamps. I own a Grand Calibur and a Big Shot. along with a fair collection of assorted dies, of which, unfortunately, consists of only the two sets of "Joy" dies that I have used for this application card and that I have taken photos of & placed in this blog post as I dont know the names of the die sets.
Why am I good enough or even the "one" for Noor Designs??? I believe I am, this is due to the diversity of my creating. I can create all types of cards for all occasions, I can sew and I can upcycle. I can go from Clean & Simple to completely covered in lace, ribbon, an image, sentiment, flowers, etc. I am not a complete expert in colouring but I do a really good job. I also believe that my artistic background does really help me with the design/layout of the card/creation I work on. I can pick up a piece of card or paper and work out, expertly as to what/where and how I am going to use it.
My media sites: I hope you can see that in my work that you can view on here on my Blog, on my Pinterest account, Cards By Marg at Pinterest, and on both of my Facebook pages, my personal page (Marg Byatt) and my handmade crafts page of Cards By Marg.

The photos of my (beautiful even if I say so myself) 8 x 8 inch Christmas card using an image of 2 geese by Little Claire's Designs (part of the Christmas Geese clear stamp set) along with an exclusive black & white ribbon from Crafty Ribbons (given to me as part of the DT privileges).
The white linen effect base and all the red different texture cardstock is from Papermill Direct, the faux pearl effect flower string is from That Craft Place via Facebook shop page, the mirror card is from Creata via Create & Craft tv. The small "crystals" that make up the star are from a seller on ebay and are labelled crystal.
I really hope you do like this card as much as I do, and I await your reply with hope and anticipation.
Thank you for taking the time to read my application and I hope you enjoy all of your viewing.,
Warmest Regards
Marg
