A previous card...

Hiya peeps

As I said in last nights post, here is a
previous card that I made back in November
last year. It was sent to the USA for a dear
friends Christmas card, along with a small
"Thinking of You" card.

I found out on Monday, that I had been
picked as a winner on The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog
Here is the blog badge that I get to proudly display on the
sidebar of this blog.

The card that I won with is the lovely, warm digital
image from the fabulous

The image is called Eskimo Kisses and can be found here

An Elf Delivery Service

Hiya peeps

Today I am showing you a card that Ive made.
I used the delightful image, which is one of two (for the price of one!!) called Elf Delivery Service from our fabulous artist, Tiddly Inks.

The card is an A4 using a sheet of A3 Cream Hammered
225gsm cardstock from my usual supplier here in the Lake District, UK.
I first folded the sheet to form the card base then added a piece of backing paper, part of a 12x12 inch snowfall on a midnight sky colourway. I coloured the image in using ordinary pencil crayons which also came with various metallic colours. I used those to colour in parts of the presents and regular colours on the elf. I added drops of artificial glitter snow on the pom poms on the elfs hat. After making sure I was happy with the colouring outcome, I die cut around it.
The mirri card I die cut using a set from Spellbinders, mounting the image oval onto the mirri using double sided tape and then foam tape
to stick it to the backing paper covered cardbase. The "Believe" word was die cut in a bright blue and mounted onto a piece of the same cream cardbase. That in turn was mounted onto a piece of midnight blue card stock. The majority of all the items are from my own stock.

I hope you like what Ive done using the Elf Delivery Service digi. Its only one of many digi & clear stamps that are available from the website. You could also join in with their monthly challenges on the challenge blog found here.

The Music Conductor.....

Hiya peeps

Todays card is one I made fairly recently, but this is my
first blog post using this wonderful digi from Star Stampz
and this is a fab digi called The Music Conductor

I made a simple but effective A5 landscape card using linen
effect white card from Papermill Direct. Topped with silver
mirri card & music sheet themed paper (from my own stash).
Before sticking these 2 backing card & paper down I placed
the two ribbons round to stick down under the mirri card. Both
the black and the white with black dots ribbons are from
Crafty Ribbons. The red card is also from Papermill Direct
but was cut down to fit the size I wanted from an A3 sheet.
The digi image, was printed onto smooth white card and
coloured using a set of double ended marker pens I have.
They are not alcohol markers though.  I coloured the
waistcoat on the conductor in red to match the backing
card and added a few gold coloured die cut music themed
treble clefs and Sixteenth notes (Semiquaver).
The wooded word "Dream" is from my own stash.
