Next project for a DT.....

Hiya peeps

Todays card is my DT card for the
end of September competition. As our theme
this time ANYTHING GOES with optional use texture,
I added 4 different items on to this project to give the
"Texture" option part of our challenge. These textures are
explained as you continue to read through this post.
The card measures 22.5cm x 21cm (8.75in x 8.24in approx)
and is made using 2 x A4 sheets of linen effect white 255gsm
brought from my favourite cardstock website Papermill Direct
located in the Lake District.

I coloured the gorgeous digital image from Mari Digis Store
called Mermaid and her horse thats according to Google
Translation that is!, with pencil crayons and added Liquid Glass to her eyes, the seahorse's eyes and all the bubbles.

****Oh, I do apologise, sincerely, I published this post without double checking and realised that I hadnt finished writing it****
I put that to one side whilst I created the card base, the matt & layering, and adding some of the texture with a lime green "spiders web" netting that I brought from a well known shopping channel for craft stash, added a width of white lace,
stuck down a strip of blue satin and added a thinner strip of pink ribbon. I still decided that it needed something else....
So it was then time to add pearl effect squares with pearl effect center. i did carefully measure the length of embellishment that I needed to give the 2 small rows of 6 for each side. The final piece of ribbon was the wide seahorse & sea bed that was stuck down to each side. The large round circle in the top left hand
side is a "hammered" effect clear crystal sparklies of 14mm width, available from a wonderful website called The Ribbon Girl.

Foxy....

Hiya peeps

Todays card is a project I made this week
to enter in to some blog challenges. I also
wanted to let you know what Im up to when
Im not blogging about my DT projects.

The delightful image in this card is called a Pawfect Day from Tiddly Inks

The card is a standard 15x15cm (6x6 inch) and was made from a slightly embossed card which has a beautiful sheen when in a certain light, (unfortunately
I dont remember where I brought this cardstock from). I added a light piece of beige coloured same
cardstock then topped it with a piece of patterned
paper with large flowers, branches and birds (of which you cant see). I added the piece of vintage cream lace,
added the pencil crayon coloured image, which was matted on to a piece of gold sheen cardstock and
foam pads. The paw prints and sentiment (sentiment
of which I had added a red colour on to the word
"b-day"), are from the same image set from Tiddly Inks. The large round circle in the top left hand
side is a "hammered" effect clear crystal
sparklies of 14mm width, available from a wonderful website called The Ribbon Girl.

A card to believe in...

Hiya peeps

Todays blog post is for my Design Team
project for the
Not Just Cards Challenge Blog

I decided to use a very recent card which is
about a magical, fantasy inspired animal
called the Unicorn!!

I know Unicorns are all the rage at the moment
for both little girls, big girls & adults alike,
well, mainly female anyway. They are so beautiful, graceful and majestically all at the same time.

I have been drawn to the "fan club" by making
the following card as well as another one &
a mermaid (yes another fantasy creature) all
for the birthday girl (from Mum, Nan & Uncle).

For this Unicorn card I used a lovely cute digi from
Pink Gem Designs called "Birthday Unicorn" card
topper set. It fits an 8x8 inch square card but can
be altered in most photo editing software including "Paint".
I left the digi at that size, making the whole card roughly 10" (25.5cm) square. All card stock is from Papermill Direct
(in the Lake District and my favourite card supplier).
All the decoupage layers were added using foam pads, ribbons, pearls (for the number) and then the row of flower pearls are all from my own stock. The verse was taken from my stash that I have ready printed off. I cant remember where I found it.

I very much hope that I inspire you to
join in with our blog challenge,
you have until Oct 10th 9pm (GMT)
