A String of Hearts from Rick St Dennis .........

Hiya again peeps, 2 posts in one day!! Youre doing well lol.

This card is for a Progressive Challenge (along with other blog challenges no doubt) by Rick St Dennis. A progressive challenge, for those who dont know, is where you buy (usually a discounted price) the first digi image to go with the theme for that month., then, when you have entered the
challenge, you will be given the next digi image free.
For this card all the items will be listed below.  I not only used the image given to use with this blog
challenge, I also followed the sketch theme for another blog challenge while I was making this card. It makes so much sense, where ever possible, to combine more than one challenge entry.

Recipe:

Backing papers from Papermania Blue Capsule collection 6x6 inch
La-la land cutting die for the banner using red card from my stash
Paper flower cut using Tim Holtz Distressed Flower Bigz die and Blue Capsule papers
Stickles Glitter Glue in Waterfall blue (in the center of the flower)
Spellbinders Octogen cutting die used on Hunkydory swirls/flourishes embossed card in pale blue
Spellbinders Labels one cutting die used on a darker blue card from Papermill Direct
Blue Organza ribbon length & bow from Crafty Ribbons
Clear faux gem button from my stash
As are the little hearts and the "With Love" sentiment and the verse on the first fold.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Little Daisy Mouse...

Good Morning peeps

Its early but I dont care, I wanted to show you Little Daisy Mouse By Meljens Designs
a real cutie (for me anyway) and quite easy to colour. The only problem was what colours
to use as a background!! lol. So I went for coordinating pale green gingham with a metallic
brown on a white 6 inch square scalloped card. I scored the card to form the twisted easel
and promptly matt & layered the metallic brown to top with the image, adding the layered
flower fastening with a brad. (There is another brad in the middle of the daisy).
I then added the bling in the 3 remaining corners, which are taken from a length of a
cream resin/plastic & faux gems stringed "ribbon type" embellishment. The backing paper
covering the base of the easel card was from a fairly old craft magazine and to that I
topped it with a lovely soft jute type ribbon topped with
approx 18mm wide but please note this lace is made using traditional looms
and are not computerised, therefore width of lace may vary), I entwined the
cotton lace with a plaited twine that I found in my vast ribbon stock lol. The
sentiment "Hope your day is as sweet as you are" is from my clear stamp stash.

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

Meljens Design Challenge #248 theme is Tic Tac Toe using Bling, Brads and Lace. Ends 26th Feb

Scribble & Scrap #38 theme is:  Anything Goes Ends 28th Feb

Ooh-La-La-Creations Challenge #174, theme is:  Add Something Green (gingham backing paper & few layers of green & white flower) Ends 1st March

An Elisabeth Bells Image card

Hiya peeps,
Just a quick one today as its early in the morning and I want to go to bed,
but to be fair I wanted you all to see this gorgeous card that I made yesterday (Sunday).

The image is called Miss Apple Blossom Vignette, which is part of the
Little Cottage Cuties Collection by Elisabeth Bell but made for Whimsy Stamps.

I also used the chance to follow a blog challenge sketch, for the Digi Bells DT Blog which are advertising for Guest DT members for March, to join them on a 3 month period.
This is the sketch I was following:

I also wanted to use this card in other challenges so I used the colour purple, mixed in with
lilac, shocking pink, other shades of pink & purples and white. I used a piece of
embossed card (white under the image),  die cuts (rectangle frames behind
the sentiment), flourishes, flowers and scalloped semi circles. The image was coloured
using Promarkers and slight use of a Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pen (on her eyes).
Lastly was the added addition of the3 faux flat backed pearls in a gorgeous purple and
then the white slightly larger same type pearls in the center of the paper flowers.

Items used

Crafters Companion Halcyan Days Deluxe A4 Paper Pad
Miss Apple Blossom Vignette rubber stamp

Black N White for a Challenge with Crafty Ribbons

Hiya peeps,

Welcome to Marg's world lol.... Ive been a busy bee with regards to making cards but some I cant put on here or Facebook yet as I dont want the relevant people seeing them before their birthday/anniversary.

Im showing you the recent Crafty Ribbons Challenge with the theme for this fortnight being:
Black & White.  Well obviously, I went for a black & white basic stamped image, this time using
Garden Assistant from Penny Black Inc. I left her just as I had stamped her using Tim Holtz
Distress Ink in Black Soot.
I matt & layered the image up and added a grey viscose lace around the squared image card base. I also added another new ribbon from the Music collection of ribbons.

A collection of paper & fabric black & white flowers with faux gems in the middle of each, a paper
butterfly, 3 black plastic flat backed flowers with faux mini clear gems glued in the middle of each were all added and to finish was the 2 charms, a watering can & a treble clef with music note. I decided to add the words "Mary Mary Quite Contrary How Does Your Garden Grow?? to go with the music notes ribbon.

Im a Guest Design Team Member....

Hiya peeps,
A coolish Sunday morning in a grey sky town where I live!

Im very very proud to announce that I have been chosen to be a Guest Design Team
member for Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog this month.

Well, Im very ashamed to say that I was late giving my project in to the admin/DT leader...
I simply thought I had another day to finish off my make.....
I am sure its well worth the wait though as I chose to use  Roxi Neon Wings Boombox Ethereal Enchantresscoloured her using Promarkers and a clear star Sakura Gelly roll pen then I layered her loads of times using hot pinks, a green gentle patterned paper and a part piece of 8x8 inch part glittered premium paper from the Love Letters collection by First Edition Paper. The gorgeous lime green, pink, dark dusky pink & white 200gsm cardstock is to die for!!! The sentiment is from a clear cling stamp set from Clearly Besotted. The flat backed faux pearls, flowers and bling string are from my own stash.

I hope you like my 8.5x8.5 inch card is to your taste as I love it!!!

EDIT:  Oh how I wish I hadnt used those big big flowers now.... after seeing this on the challenge blog I have changed my mind on how this card looks, when you look at the photo, all I see now are those 2 flowers looking at me like eyes!!! I wish I could submit another card now, but its too late so I will just have to wait & see if im ever chosen as a GDT for this or any other challenge blogs again... I sincerely apologise now to anyone who doesnt like this, its not my usual standard... ;(

2 cards for the post of 1...by Elisabeth Bell

Hiya peeps,

A cold quite bright & sunny day here, I do, however, feel for you if you have loads of snow & are struggling to get out & about.

Ive been a busy day here getting loads of cards ready & posted off so they can be placed on exhibition boards for one of the companies that I have the wonderful pleasure of being on their DT.
Overall, over this last week I have sent off almost 15 projects and most of them I cant blog about
because of all the new ribbons that Ive used. I am however, going to show you 2 cards, both of which I have used the same image.... a beautiful flower fairy but unfortunately I dont know what the name of the image is, just that its by Elisabeth Bell designed for Bells & Whistles.

Ive just got this thing about the colours of pink, yellow and oranges at the moment so you will more than likely see more cards/projects using those colourways soon... I have loads of cards that Ive not blogged about or even posted on my Facebook page yet!  Wait and see what comes next.... ;0

I am going to enter one or both of these in to the following challenges:

Little Patch of Crafty Friends #3, theme is Anything Goes  Pink card

Allsorts Challenge #296 theme is Flower Power   Orange Card (due to extra little flower "gems/buttons" and also the flower shaped backing topper behind the image)
