My first post for my new position of DT member of .........

Hiya peeps, yes I have been lucky enough to be chosen for another Design Team!!! Yeahhhhhh!!!!!!!

I am still a member for DigiStamps4Joy, but this Challenge blog is for "Stampin For The Weekend".

My term started on Friday 29th August and our sponsor for this challenge is "Summer Colours" and is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.
For my first challenge post I decided to use with Flower Bears Poppy  using my Promarkers & Graph It pens to colour it, then cutting as close as I could to the lines. I then mounted the coloured image on to some spring green coloured card and then cut around almost to the line leaving a thin edge of the card.  The papers I used for the backing on the base card are from my own stash, one printed from a cd rom by Polkadoodles, and the other is a freebie that came with a craft magazine that I buy regularly. I added a die cut border down the join of the 2 papers, added the mulberry paper flowers (topped with a yellow coloured flower shaped faux pearl). The finishing touch was a die cut topper to which I stuck down the lovely phrase that I found in a card making kit years ago by Papermania.
I hope you like the finished card..... ;)

Halfway reminder for challenge #74 - "Anything Goes" this month

Hiya peeps,

Yes its that time again, my post for my Design Team of Digi Stamps 4 Joy (shop) &
Digi Stamps 4 Joy (Challenge Blog).
The theme this time is for Anything Goes, so, an easy one for you this time crafters!! Get your crafty heads & hands on over to the blog:
"Enter your paper projects (maximum 3 entries per person, each from a separate blog post) in Mr Linky below. The randomly drawn winner will win THREE images of your choice from the store, and 2 runners up 1 image each.

For my creation, a card, I hve used a scrap of Ivory hammered embossed A3 size width anyway lol. It is a piece left over from when I cut a circle card using my Spellbinders Grand Circle dies, so had wastage & put it to one side. I knew it was too big a piece to throw away. Anyway, I levelled it off & using as a tent style card, (my favourite fold at the moment), also using other wastage of the red spider web netting I placed it on top of the patterned backing paper that was free with a craft magazine I had brought ages ago (I am a sucker for craft magazines).  I then die cut round the image, available by clicking on her name which is:  Punkette Petite, colouring her with both Graph It & Promarker pens. I then cut her out using a Spellbinders Grand Labels 1 die & mounted her on a square piece of a Papermania Henbury Lane paper pad set, and stuck that on top of the red spider web netting. I then added paper flowers & topped them with a red faux pearl in pearlescent red, adding extra faux pearls to the side edges of the grand labels 1 die cut and to the sides of Punkette Petite's hair bobbles.
Overall?? Another good fairly quick card from me. I am pleased with it.
How about you? How do you rate this card?? Please leave a comment below & I will reply asap.
Thank you in advance.

This weeks new digi stamp release over at DigiStamps4Joy

Yes, a completely different image this week for you from designer Jen. Click on this link to view or buy Kiss The Cook.

I have used a ready made card blank that I brought ages ago from Create and Craft tv. I used 2 scraps of paper that I had in my stash & topped it with a new lace that was only delivered yesterday. It is so soft!!  I brought the mint green stretch lace from a lady who sells on Facebook. If you would like details please email me.  I coloured the image with green Promarkers &  honey coloured Graph It pen. The white die cut the image sits on is from my own stash of Spellbinders. The flower swirl was a gift cut in white that I coloured again with my Promarkers, this time I used pine & tulip yellow.
The words are die cuts from the Tattered Lace sentiments die set.  The green drops in the centre of the yellow flowers are from Polkadoodles. Its from their collection of different coloured dew drops. These are Apple Green shade.
I think this might be used as a notelet to send to the parents of an in-law who are old & have quite severe problems. I don't see them anymore as they have moved to Dorset to be near their only daughter.

I hope you like this card, its a quick and easy image to colour/use for quite a few different occasions.

Red & White for a special dear friend of over 25 years....

Good Afternoon peeps.

I was so tired when we got home last night.... when my teenage daughter & I finally walked in at 10.30pm, (after a craft fair in aid of MacMillan Cancer which was definitely my last selling event ever) my lovely beautiful dog Reggie noticed that we had brought him some balloons home for him to play with, so we gave him two, one after the other & he had trampled all over my craft stash that is on the floor in my kitchen so 20 minutes later after clearing a path through, I finally went to bed at 10.45pm & woke up almost 8&half hours later! I was still very tired but the mess on the floor will have to wait - until I have the energy to tidy it up properly!!! Well, Ive got a safe route through the kitchen so my health comes first.  Last night was a fabulous event though, over £900 was raised with still some more monies to come in. I am very proud to have been a part of that wonderful event. I also got to see my eldest daughter, hubby & their youngest son at the event as they are on the committee of the Lichfield Cricket & Hockey club where they also have a Rugby team play (for which my son-in-lay plays for & my youngest grandson plays Hockey for).
Back to why Im posting this, a recent make of mine, (I actually made 3 cards in one day!!) for a change lol. I wanted to make a gorgeous card for a dear friend of mine, we've been friends for over 25 years now & our daughters used to play together when they were little, we also worked together which is how we became firm friends. I can always rely on Jackie to bring me joy, happiness & security of what friends are for whenever I need it.
The card is in the colours of her favourite football team (Stoke City FC). I used a favourite image of mine to colour which is "Bubbles" from Polkadoodles, using Promarkers & Graph It pens to give some life to her. Its a large 8 x 8 inch card which is why I chose the Kanban Spider Netting to go behind the image & embellishments. Sadly Kanban are no longer manufacturing as a company but I do believe that another company is producing something very similar to this netting. The frame surrounding the image is from a new purchase of mine from a company called Cheery Lynn Designs but purchased from a shop here in the UK (If you would like details please email me).
If you would like further information about any of the items that I have used on this card then please email me or comment below with your email address & I will reply asap. Thank you ;) x

Oh I almost forgot, as its Saturday, don't forget that My Crafty Heart blog are having their usual giveaway. You only have to link your blog & name to be in the chance to win!

I am entering this card in to the following blog challenges:

The Ribbon Girl, Its a colour theme this month of August, and its RED!!

Design Team Application for a challenge blog

Yes, Im applying for another Design Team, for Crafting Musketeers. The only condition is that
you enter the challenge for this month & you must use the sketch provided.

I decided to use an image that I had already brought from the challenge sponsor's this month, Delicious Delights, and stamped a lovely phrase from a set I found (by Hobby Art) I had never used!! The phrase states: "The Landscape belongs to the person who looks at it" I think its really beautiful.

The sketch layout is very basic but very workable., so I decided to use pastel/pale blues as I had
printed the sketch out using blue ink (Ive literately got no black ink left so used the colour cartridge), which, considering the image is based around the boat & water, is a good choice.
I first scored an 4 sheet of pale blue card brought from & then folded
the card in half to form the tent style pictured below.
I then matt & layered using a darker blue card from Brazill basics range of 12 x 12 inch card, added the layer of the same blue card to go down the left hand side of the card, added 3 faux pearl drops to the bottom of the piece (as per the sketch) & topped that (with foam pads to add height) with the image I had already matt & layered with the same blue card.
All together?? A very clean & simple card that is very suitable for any man. This also, obviously, can
be personalised on the front, I suggest under the image itself or even down the blue card at the side of such image.
Please contact me if you would like to buy this card. All prices do include a high grade quality soft sheen pearlescent paper with a printed verse or left blank. If printed, the verse/wording will be in a coordinating blue coloured ink and will be despatched to you in a sealed cello bag, along with an  high quality envelope.  The price for this card including personalisation (if required) & postage
is £3.50. Postage is only included for all UK addresses, overseas buyers can you please contact me first, with your full address, so I can obtain actual postage costs. My email address is on my "about me" section.
I hope you like this "Clean and Simple" card as much as I do. ;)

Please carry on reading after the 2 photos of the card that I have uploaded, this is for information about me & why I craft.

I am also entering this in to the Crafting Musketeers Challenge Blog #4

Hi, to be considered for the Design Team member application I have to write a small bit about myself, other DT's etc... so here goes;
I am Margaret, a disabled single parent to a 16 year old daughter. I also have an elder daughter, aged 32, who is now married & has 2 lovely sons (they live approx. 6 miles away). I am 52 years old tomorrow (13th August) and have various disabling health issues inc an inherited genetic die called Charcot-Marie-Tooth syndrome (a lesser known form of Muscular Dystrophy that attacks the nervous system. I craft because I am unable to work anymore due to all of my disabilities. It keeps my mind occupied, is restful & yet also beautiful & enjoyable with all the lovely craft items that I get to play with lol.
Ive always been creative anyway, but I know I just cant sit & watch television or on the laptop all day everyday, equally I am unable to work due to immense pain. I used to sell at craft events but I have had to give up driving so I just sell online alongside making for family & friends.
My creative streak has always been with me, (drawing, sewing, cross stitch) but only the last 5+ years have I been creating cards good enough to sell. I have got a lot more creative & better over the years....
Creating a papercraft project now, I'm very lucky that I can pick up a piece of scrap craft material & put a card together using that one piece., equally though, I can follow a sketch &/or theme to the letter or diversify when needed. I have no particular style, but I can honestly say, that I do love stamping & colouring with alcoholic pens (Promarkers/Flexmarkers/Graph It pens) & occasionally with watercolour pencils.  I mainly use a rubber stamp but I do, sometimes, depending on the card I am going to make, use a digital stamp.
I was on the DT for Quirky Crafts, ( on the guise as a
Guest Designer for 2 months. I really enjoyed that term as it presented some quirky images to
work with! I have been asked to apply again when ever I wish & if a permanent position becomes
available it will be offered to me.  ;)
I am presently on the DT for DigiStamps4Joy  ( where
I have been a member since May. I was taken on just to cover for another woman who had
"disappeared online" for a while. I have the choice to stay on after my initial 6 month period. .

I hope this is all the information that you need at this moment.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if needed.
Thank you in advance & I would appreciate a reply either way

This months DigiStamps4Joy Blog Challenge card.... a beautiful lady peeps!!!

Hi, My DT project for this month's challenge, over on DigiStamps4Joy Challenge Blog
is shown below. Firstly I must tell you that the challenge is to make our own embellishment, but,
also for the DT members, we had to use one of the free images that we are given to work with just a few days before they are released.  I decided to use one of yesterdays new releases, shes called
Misteri - Bond Girl and you can find her here

As I said, I had decided to use one of the latest releases called Misteri - Bond Girl.
It actually took me almost half an hour to decide to use the bead necklace around her neck! I have quite a collection of jewellery making stock so it was the obvious choice for me to make a very small beaded necklace for her as I couldn't decide what else to make!!
A small 5x5 inch pastel green base card, matt & layered with white card & peach/apricot backing paper. Colouring Misteri in was such fun, shes lovely to colour and those plaits in her hair are just crying out for glitter highlights! So, using my Promarkers, Graph It pens & Sakura Gelly Roll glitter & metallic pens, she was coloured & highlighted. I then closely cut around Misteri & stuck her on top of a die cut oval (one of most recent favourite dies from Spellbinders) with foam pads. I added an emerald green satin ribbon under the die cut oval to give some extra colour, a circular Happy Birthday sentiment (which I highlighted with a fine tipped emerald green Promarker pen & a standard tip soft peach Promarker pen) & finally added a hand tied small bow using the same emerald green ribbon.
I hope you like my card for this months challenge.... I do, I love the greens & peaches together....

Todays new images release on DigiStamps4Joy - well one of them anyway!!

Lol, yes I have created what I think, is a beautiful card using a beautiful image from Misteri - Bond Girl is just one of this weekends new
releases available from the link above.
This card is made using an 8x8 inch basket weave embossed card stock which I found at the bottom of my stash a few days ago... a lucky find.  I then matted & layered in 2 lots of backing papers that I also found in my stash. The image, Mister- Bond Girl, was coloured with Promarkers, Graph It & Sakura Gelly Roll pens. I cut the image out using a Spellbinders die and then fixed the paper to the card using 2mm foam pads. I then also added feathers, faux pearl beads on faux gold stems, wrapped in chenille pink pipe cleaners, a large orchid silk flower, next was the die cut rectangle of chevron embossed card topped with Tattered Lace Happy Birthday dies in a pearlescent card. Finishing off with the faux pearl & faux gem embellishment "ribbon" banding on the top & bottom of the card. This is one of my latest purchases here in the UK, if you would like to know where I brought it from please do not hesitate to email me or comment below this post.
Many thanks peeps & hope you sleep well tonight ;)
