A card for my Nephews First child + "Stella Says Sketch Challenge 130"

I got the wonderful news last weekend that my nephew and his wife are expecting their first child in August after 6 years of trying!!  The digi stamp called "Shopping for Two" from Bababoo was the first (and most apt) choice for the card I made for them.....  Following in baby tradition I used pastel shades of purple, yellow, green and blue for the backing papers. I Coloured the digi stamp using shades of lilacs, lemons and greens. I added 3 different types and colours of lace down the side of the card on the right hand side and then a stick on glittered ribbon across the width. The verse was found on the Hallmark Card Studio 2009 Software. I cut round the edges of all the papers and topper using Purple Cows Freestyle Mouse Cutting Kit and blade No 2808 (deckled type edge).
As with all of my cards lately, I love it!! I hope you do too....
A busy weekend ahead I add, sorting and tidying my craft stash lol, Im not looking forward to that bit!

The Paper Shelter Design Team entry

Hiya Peeps

I decided ages ago that I would love to be on a design team for a craft company, well now Ive got the chance. Its for a company called The Paper Shelter who are based on the American continent. Their images are cute with quite a lot of detailing. I used an image that is quite old but I still like her.
I decided to create an A4 card using pastels, pinks, blues purples and green. The main card is made from an A3 piece of 225gsm ivory card brought direct from the manufacturer in the Lake District. I then added a cut piece of pink card from Brazzil which has a linen effect. On top of that is a paper I brought from The Paper Shelter, its a blue frame with a smallish pattern backing paper on it. The pink scalloped rectangle on which the image rectangle sits on is again from The Paper Shelter.
The 2 types of lace that Ive stacked are a white lace and a multi coloured one. They look so gorgeous together that Im so happy that I had them both in my stash. Everything else listed below were all in my stash:
Pale blue feathers, the paper flowers (that look so realistic), the pink tinged beads, the flower shaped faux pearls. the purple ribbon that has "Happy Mothers Day" printed on it and of course the two types
of lace that I used.
All in all, one gorgeous card I think...do you agree?????
I value your opinions and sincerely thank you for taking the time to read and follow my blog

NOW THAT'S WHAT'S CALLED A MINI CARD.......

Hiya from a cold & wet Staffordshire, it's horrible here but it's more
than likely the same if not worse where you are..

Below is a photo of todays card, well I finished making it today, so
it still counts lol. It's a commission order for a new customer from
Colchester so as it's on it's way to her this afternoon I can tell you
about why an orange mini?
This card has been made for the customers daughters boyfriend "who
simply adores his little bright orange Austin Mini Cooper., he spends
so much time tinkering/washing & caring for it that you'd think it was
his baby". The number plate is the lads name.
The end result is a fun filled card for a guy who loves his car! I will post
the customers comment/review under this post when it's received.
I love it & i'm sure Darrell will.. Happy Birthday Darrell on February 14th!!
I cant take credit for the drawing, I downloaded the image off a google search.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:
